Tamiya mini cooper
If you have the inner and outer diameters I can compare it with my Kyosho and TOP o-rings. Maybe get lucky..?

Sounds like a pretty standard size. Hardware, automotive or industrial supply shops should all carry them. The latter two will likely provide a choice of materials, as well.
I remembered after getting to my work, that I had one more o-ring size I can check which is the TOP's FWD m-chassis gear diff. That one uses a black o-ring, but the problem is it leaks out of the drive cups. TOP is aware of it, they haven't gotten back on an improved o-ring based on the clear material.
Yes, before anyone comments, I've tried GreenSlime.

"Have you tried shims to compress the oring? I never had a Top but that's what I did to my 419 diffs"
+1 that!
Use greenslime and shims! I am doing this in one of my TC's w/ very good success. Leaking diff's *used* to drive me crazy!

So I think I have found a source of 0-rings locally at a hardware store and they are only $0.07ea. Worth a try at that price. They look to be made of the same black material as the 3racing ones.

Interesting. Tamiya releasing a drift version of the MF-01X and are using a method of locking the rear diff that was improvised by end users. Reminds me of the rear suspension extension links they released for the CC01, that were already a common mod.

Not an official Tamiya release as far as I can tell. Just an enthusiast build. Tamiyablog is not an official site, if you weren't already aware.

I know I was a damned good salesman, but selling someone else's idea and cheap shims without even trying is a hell of a feat. It's even easier than selling a $24K carbon ceramic brake kit to a guy with a $9K Boxster. (Ended up talking him out of it.)
