U.S. Vintage Trans-Am Racing
#1847
I wanted to wait until all of the requests came in to make sure I had enough decals to go around, so all of the HPI vintage decal sheets that I had left went out today. Anyone who requested them should have them in a few days. Anyone who asked for "a bunch" for their local track, I gave you as many as I could spare after getting everyone else their allotment. I am now officially all out of decal sheets. Hopefully HPI will do something cool in their new sheets that will come with the bodies.
As for the numbers thing, for the record, there are rules in the USVTA package that are not my favorite—some I don't even personally want in there—but the rules are for what is best for the class as a whole. Numbers on the cars makes the class a lot more identifiable to spectators and new racers, and they aren't that hard to accomplish. Oval racers have been doing it for 30 years. In fact, McAllsiter Racing still makes a nice line of number decals, as do others. Old oval decals are pretty easy to find, too. It doesn't take a whole lot of creativity to pull it off—and they all look better for it. Ok, enough on that. We all want the same things for this class.
Time to go post some paint jobs on the T/A paint thread...
