If you need or want a new lipo. I would go with what's within in rules now. I wouldn't think the rule would change this close to the Scale Nats.

Also with the Track at Harbor Hobbies helping with the battery situation and hosting the event. I would think that between Rob and Eric we will have something for us this summer

Thanks HPI!

Since they are pretty flexible at my local track, I think that is my next shell. Can I get a Burt Reynolds driving figure ???

Just paint a big mustache on the figure. Or, with some picture glue, you can print out his face and glue it to the inside of the helmet... put Sally Fields in there too!

Default 2012 USVTA Southern Nationals

Just a heads up. For the 2012 USVTA Southern Nats. The "BIRD" will fly. I hope robk pulls this shell as an exception, cause I've, we, have been waiting in it

While I love the body I do not think it belongs on the vta list. There were a handful of cars that actually ran in the 1973 season but are not allowed in our vta racing. It was explained to me that the vta class is supposed to replicate the golden era of trans am that ended after the 1972 season. Again I love the body but it just doesn't fit what the vta class is.

If the list is expanded to include a 1977/78 firebird then why not the corvette or pantera from the 1973 season? Why not add the McAllister 1979 camaro? If we start adding in bodies because they look cool and a lot of people like them my vote is in for the Shelby cobra or the gt 40.

Thanks HPI!

HPI's body looks very similar to this "Smoke N Bandit" body that is sold by RC Car Kings out of Burnsville, Minnessota.

+2 !!!! It's VINTAGE TRANS AM ! Although many of us car junkies love the older TA's (I've owned 2), This shell has no place in the class. Running it at the club level is just promoting a lack of respect for the class. It's one thing to allow the 1967 Corvette or 1973 Pantera, but the 77'/78' TA is a bad stretch of the rules.

Hey, now we're talking. But I don't want to start WW3 because I bought one and had fun on a club night My RD doesn't care though, he allows a little flexibility if it's not a serious race... so maybe
