Well, the first run with the pro4 was pretty success ful this tuesday. I ran it outside with close to a kit set up. I had it geared wrong with the 9 double. It got hot. to lazy to rebuild it. So I put the 12 double in it. It threw a wind on the 2nd lap. So in went the Chameleon. I put the biggest gear I had on it. LOL I was passing 10 turns on the straight with it. I tqed and won the main by almost a lap. And still had 40+sec of runtime left. Was fun. I had a 39 pinnion. stock spur. Never got hot either.

I like the car. Still working on a small left turn issue. But the sway bars were not centered and not equal. Fixed that, See what happens this weekend. Can't believe how quiet it is for a shaft drive car. Darn belt cars are noisy. LOL

Kit set up Minus the 3 mil blocks in rear and 3 mil block in rear front and 2 mil front front = 1.5 degree with of anti-dive in front. Asc Red springs Front. Blue Rear. Everything else is kit.

Big asphalt track. 160+ Foot straight.
I was running sorex 28's. The sun went down and we ran under the light. put pit 24's on it for the colder track.

RAY - LOL> I run nitro normally outside in summer. Being that I focus on Nitro alot more then Electric. Winter is a time to race electric to keep the reflexes up and not loose to much of a edge for Nitro. I saw the pro4 and was like, that looks cool. It has been making me kinda itching to run it. So I did Tuesday night.
Its pretty cool to run outside under some lights. Not perfect conditions, but it was a blast.

Later

Uh, I will be running it Sunday, Weather permitting,
I may need to borrow it untill Eroc get some more gears in.
Unless you need it. I will leave it at hobbytown for you.
I will be by there after work to pick up my new body.
Did you see it on Fastlanes Thread. Ian posted a pic.

Snowy, Will you be at trackside tuesday? I always show up really early (~3:00), and I can help you out.

I'd really hate to post anything without having a car, or setup sheet in front of me.

I can give you the basics, but for camber link and hingepin block shims, I would just be guessing without having the car here.

Has anybody seen the driveshafts that are on the HPI Japan site? They are more like a dogbone than a CVD. Plus they have steel ones as well? Does anybody know if a TC3 cvd bone will fit the car? I have one slightly bent and saw some MIP shiny cvd bones for the TC3 that might work till I can get a replacement PURPLE cvd bone.

How well will a graphite center drive shaft hold up to open mod? I thought I read somewhere that on the TC3 they went back to the alum shaft for mod racing for strength.

....
The new CV's are for the asain market only... the lead times to get MIPs to Japan is too long of a wait...but the US and some parts of the world will still get the dependable MIPS.

Yes.. the TC3 bones is a direct fit. any 50mm MIP bones will work.
A bend dog bone can be easily straighten out with a hammer..
