Well, Super Steve

To be frank, Dealing with Money Order in Hong Kong is a big headache. It might not be a big deal in USA and Canada. But it really does take at least a week or two to get it process. Sometimes they have to cancel the order and return your money order because not able to cash it. This is because we, in Hong Kong, have to find the exchange store to get it and not every bank and everywhere that they can do it. The best way to use credit card or Paypal. It will speed up the process.

Well, currently the distributor in Hong Kong for HPI stock plenty of spare parts for the car. As you know, Pro 4 is also very popular in Hong Kong.

If you want to try another online RC store in Hong Kong, you can try Control Centre. Here is the link:

You will have to order from overseas. I finally broke down and ordered 5 arms last week. If you have a VISA then theres no worrys. I think I will order some more stuff next week. This really shows that HPI doesn't care about there new car. I can get parts in five days from half way around the world ,but they can't even get them from there own warehouse. So sad.... I like HPI but this kind of negelect wont help them with sales.

LOL...yeah...who knew you'd be breaking arms on a touring car?

Did you ever get the ones I sent you?

Default Boiling parts

rc_square24;

Boiling is used to SOFTEN Nylon parts and make them more flexible, thus avoiding breakage, sometimes.
I personally have NOT tried it with Graphite impregnated Nylon parts like the Pro-4 uses.

Default Diff Rebuild

Hey guys just a couple of questions.
Im going to rebuild my diff tonight and was wondering how do I know when it is loose or when it is too tight? Is there a test I can do? Ive just started with ball diffs my last cars had gear diffs.

Thanks for the advice on this forum i have bought the associated bolt and nut.

Cheers,

Mossie

Mossie, when rebult and put back together hold the spur gear and one of the wheels, then try and turn the opposite wheel. There should be a lot of resistance, and you should only just be able to turn the other wheel if the diff is set correctly.

rc_square24, I have been told that Sorex 20's work well for stock, or Sorex 24's for mod, if you don't have Sorex where you are then D20's or D24's. This is only what I have been told as I normally run foams on carpet but there is a meeting coming up where you have to run rubbers so I have been gathering a bit of information.

Sorex 20's are usually a bit soft for carpet unless it's really low bite. Some tracks will run 24's in the front, and 20's in the rear.

I run CS-27's or Sorex 28's on carpet.
