He could be capable of using his tongue and nose and still win

Arrow MRTC-SDW

The picture on Orion's live site is of Billy Eastons SDW.

Here's a bit of info on the kit (posted some of it as a translation from a Japanese page last week).

MRTC-SDW SD World Championship Replica

- limited to 555 kits

New parts:
- aluminium bulkheads and new "floating" motormount that lower the drivetrain 4.5 mm and the upper deck 2.0 mm.
- front short span suspension arms with new aluminium suspension mounts
- new chassis, upper deck, shock towers, battery plate, rear body mount, bumper support and roll bar plate from normal "black" carbon fibre 2.5 mm
- full aluminium universal driveshafts, both bone and axle (i.e. YMP version)
- aluminium ball studs
- carbon fibre hollow main shaft

Kit will include the following option parts:
- titanium screw set
- super precision bearing (drivetrain)
- titanium turnbuckles
- aluminium input shafts
- aluminium rear suspension mounts
- front roll bar (Rayspeed)
- rear roll bar (upper type) (same bars as front upper type but mounted in normal position at rear)
- HD rear suspension arms
- bump stop o-rings

Rest is to the same spec as the current SD SSG and Black versions.

Should be available early December (555 kits).

Remember this is an exclusive World Championship Replica kit exactly to the same specs as Masami's car at the worlds. Pretty sure we can expect a 'normal' version early next year with more 'user friendly' driveshafts, steel input shafts, steel ball studs etc. to a lower price of course.

I was told if the worlds go well then there will "probably" be a cheaper version coming out with molded gearboxes and less items added. As it is now the car will be very expensive, that's why it's a limited edition.

Nope, tbh i dont like the feel of either of my tamiyas on the new suspension and am looking to make a clean brake and changes cars all together. Love the look of that yokomo but i do have a slight worry that it might have the same issue as my evo 4.

I have already got a 1/12 scale CEFX sat here just waiting for a servo and tires then i will be running that at chesterfield. Rick

Aaahh, but Barrcudas are silly because they have the cells and motors the wrong way around.

I once got seriously flamed for mentioning this on their thread but no-one really came up with a satisfactory argument to counter what I was pointing out.

I s'pose the cuda would be good on certain oval tracks though....

Not that I'm stirring or anything - but personally I think AE and Yokomo got it right. It's not a coincidence.

Since converting my SSG to CGM my TC3 has become my spare car... Probably going to give it to my 5 year old son....

Seems to be an interesting update .... I am surprised they have opted for the twin deck configuration once again ..... I am constantly hearing that this type of config tweaks very easily..well it seems Masami and Yokomo know what they r doing ...good luck Masami

Why did they leave the bulkheads silver? Make it blue!
