What revised chassis?
Perhaps you are thinking about the J spec car (used in Japan for running on asphalt)? It has a different rear pod plate and chassis (and can use longer side links) You can only purchase it from Japan.
The current chassis is single cell lipo friendly.

Considering picking up this kit to give it's big brother someone to play with. Any recommendations for asphalt as that is what I mainly run. Big track outside smooth sometimes dusted and sprayed with DHT. Sometimes dusty track if no racing. Other track is indoor asphalt sprayed with soda pop I believe. Just looking for ideas and wondering how different I should set it up from the Gen X 10.

Thanks in advance

P.S. lipo prefered any recommendations or should I go with nimh to put some weight on the kit? Also electronics recommendations as I use novak gtb on my Gen X 10 but know that is to tall for 1/12.

At 360 Speedway, guys mostly ran the GTB 4cell, or the Tekin RS. THe GTB worked with no rx pack or booster, the Tekin needed the booster or rx pack.

I had the Tekin in mine, with TQ booster and a SPektrum DX3R radio.l

I ran my HB Cyclone12 with the GTB, just removed the fan. NP with either stock or mod. motors on 4 cells.
If you don't trust it, just try it and watch the temperature.

Did a search and ended up getting even more confused.

What parts / kit are needed for the latest brushless pod conversion?

I've got the old style brushed pod.

Any info is much appreciated.

Yeah, read it.......5 times.

There is the " kit includes " part, then "you will need " section, and then " nice to have" section.

Having to piece together a conversion on a car I know absolutely nothing about is quite the headache.

which rear pod do you have now? does the rear top plate go across the front of the motor to the left pod plate? or does it stop in the middle of the motor and mount to a standoff post connected to the center pivot?

There are two brushed pods. Are your left and right pod plates the same or are they different?

Both aluminum pod plates are the same, there is no aluminum standoff.

You need to get crc3339 and crc3349. Between these to you will get everything you need for the conversion. Ashford Hobby is a good place to buy from if your local Hobby Shop can't get it.
