Hi Fellow type R owners

The car is a lot more responsive with the STD links compare to the JR-links. It give more steering.

One-way cure my pushing problem as well.

Anyone here run a Type-R at the Novak Race? Looking at the pictures, it looks like Mike Dibb (I think) made the A in 13.5 rubber with one. Any new set ups to share coming from the race? With the stock rubber nats coming up at Trackside in a couple months, it would be interesting to see what was working for people at the Novak. Thanks in advance!

They have 3 in stock here: http://www.losipartshouse.com/servlet/Categories . It is only plastic so you can't go nuts while tightening the diff.

Hey Juan,

Yes, I ran the losi and by the end of the event the car was awesome, I finished 2nd in 10.5 and 4th in 13.5.

Front: 0 toe, 5mm ride height, long arm, 1 1/2 camber, droop 1.5mm over r.h., 0 deg pivot, arms in the middle, steering rack in #1 (per Kinwald, made the car drive great), camber link #1, no jr link short ball stud, shocks #1 position, 40wt, 20lb., also ran a one-way

Rear: 5mm ride height, long arm, 2deg camber, droop 1.5mm over r.h., ran arms back, camber link 5-a no washers, 2 deg pivot + 1/2 deg hubs, shocks #1/outside, 30wt, 15lb

car: ran 56 pistons all the way around, low roll centers with .030 under mounts all the way around, AE hexs all the way around, 118/43 with 10.5 and 13.5, full sauce on front and rear, mazda speed 6

hope this helps,

What effect did the steering rack in hole 1 do to the car?

I made some Std links last night for this weekend, looking forward to the outcome

just as a side note for the set up the track was extremelly high bite at the start of the event the bite was a little lower and I had on 17.5lb in the front and 12.5lb in the rear with everything else the same.

The steering rack change is kind of wierd to explain it, the car reacted faster in sections like the chicane but felt smoother and more consistant everywhere. Normally faster reacting means twitchy but it wasn't at all. I would defientely give it a try.
