leaving for the track in about 20min to do some last second testing for the Reedy.
Marcos- I have to hold off on your set up for now. Dominic's car has been dialed the last couple of times out and we want to be on the same page for the Reedy so I'm running his because we want to test some front camber stuff today.

today's racing went well. i qualified pretty well and ran a personal best. i'm still running what is essentially todd's nationals setup with a few small tweaks to suit my driving style. one of the biggies was I switched to RCD's in the front. for me, the lcd's make the car too aggressive in the front, i didn't like them in the mid motor car either. anyway, that change brought my setup together and made everything feel "right" to me.
and then i threw it all away in the main i had a solid second place, plenty of distance between myself and third. i started to tighten up my lines and ended up nailing the same flapper board like 4 laps in a row. the last time i cracked one of my castor blocks and bent the drive shaft, but the a-arm held up just fine i ended up pulling it after loosing a few positions and didn't feel like punishing the car anymore over nothing.

My car felt good today to if it weren't for the idiot I have for a mechanic, I may have done better. I had qualified 4th and moved the second where I shadowed the fast guy for a few laps till the rear of the car started acting weird. It got so bad I had to just stop for I did not want to break anything. I found out after I managed to pull a turn buckle out of a ball cup. It was a left over I believe from last weekend that I did not catch while working on the car earlier in the week.
I did put that Hodge nationals setup on it and liked the car much better. Only thing I did not do was add the weight it calls for in the front. I discussed this with another driver and he felt it was done because Todd runs mod and it may have helped with steering for him. It felt fine running 19t and no weight to me, so I am not adding it.
I love this car more everytime I drive it. I also still have one of the old cars I run in stock and it is dialed as well. But I can deffinitely tell the difference between the two and the new one is better.

i've pulled a couple turnbuckles out of the rear inner ball cups. if you're running the "B" hole on the rear upright, file the inner corner at a 45 degree angle right at the "A" hole area. under full compression, the ball cup can hit the upright if it's not filed down. also, running the rear arms full back puts that camber link at a pretty odd angle.
