the tc-01 already comes with what is needed to mount the Toyota TS-050 body. The new TCS class is called GTE and the only bodies allowed for that class are the Formula E or Toyota TS-050 hybrid. I already have mine built with the Toyota body. Looking forward to the Porsche one if it is produced.
heres the ts050 on the tc01 chassis. The rear sits a little high due to the suspension in the way but still looks good

I guess its just the angle at which the picture is taken, but rear doesnt drag the ground when the suspension is compressed. if anything the front lip touches the ground when fully compressed and Im sure it will drag the ground during hard corners.
We are on full lockdown now so I couldnt do anything but paint bodies and wait till Im able to try them out

TC-01 is back in stock in the US at most places if anyone has been waiting. My preorder from tower shipped today.

Read through the entire thread and looking for some help.
Ordering a TC-01 and want to get some Tamiya aftermarket parts with my order from RCMart. Since it takes a little while for orders to arrive to US from RCMart, want to make sure that I get the right parts.
Have the following questions:
1. Want to replace the kit turnbuckles, toe/camber links and steering turnbuckle. What size and quanitity Tamiya blue turnbuckles are required?
3. Lots of different spring options available from Tamiya. Which sets are primarily used for asphalt? I have seen the XV-01 kit, the On-Road Turned Hard Spring Set (53440), and the Short Spring Set II (54797).
Thanks!

I am not near my car at the moment, but I will update this post with the turnbuckles I used for the rear toe and steering when Im home.
If youre looking for other parts to upgrade, the 42372 double cardans for the front are a greatly recommend by default I found the car had quite a lot of vibrations when turning in heavily.
Update: The turnbuckles I am using for steering front 3x10 (53892) and rear toe 3x32mm (54249)

Camber on the TC-01 is adjusted with shims on the suspension mounts, so unless you’re planning on modyfing and tinkering with your car there are no turnbuckles to replace! There are members here who did so

I was looking at the 42372 DCJs, however, I will be running the front spool up front and heard that the 39mm DCJs would be too short (need 42mm drive shafts). I plan to use the TC-01 universal drive shafts in the front (42mm) and rear (blue 39mm in rear since i will be using the aluminum diff outdrives). Any issues with that setup?
Thanks for the help!

This is dope!

Finally updated my previous post with the turnbuckles I am using!
I am using the DCJs with the TB-04 spool as well, but to be honest I haven't driven the car since I made the upgrade. The weather hasn't cooperated, and all indoor places are closed at the moment.

Gear Upgrades
Hello all. I have a brushless motor in my TC-01 that was too much for the gear attached to the rear driveshaft. This is basically going to be a speed run car. What hopup gears or other gear set do I need to use to avoid continually stripping the gear?
Thanks.
Thanks.
