that's odd.ive beaten my buggy bad and only thing I've broke was front tower and bent screws in front. Maybe u are over tightening things..just a thought

Thanks they both look like great kits the d413 definitely looks more durable but the xray looks like it would be more friendly to work on and adjust things both great both have down sides and plenty of pluses just really unsure gonna have to just pull the trigger on one plus side is on the d413 I can get $60 off at tower with free shipping once it comes in Amain doesn't have a deal that good on the xb4

Xray parts are also pricey

iScream, it is for 2 packages of caps, so a full set of 4. If they don't sell I'll just return them to Tower, but since it seemed like they were back ordered most places I wanted to give someone a shot at them before I took a hit on it to ship back. If not, no big issue.

I know this isn't D413 specific, but I'll throw it out there. I run a Savox 2274 in my D413. I've noticed there's a lot more resistance when turning the servo by hand (no power to it) than my other Savox servos. 1257, and 1258. I first noticed it when turning the wheels by hand, but then disconnected the servo arm to rule out binding in the steering. I don't remember it being so tight when I bought it new. I send an email out to Savox as well, but thought I might get a quicker response here.

The 2274 is brushless... they will have more resistance to turning by hand.

They might be slightly more expensive then other brands, but 1; you don't need to buy them very often as it doesn't tend to break & 2; if you do need them, it's not normally too hard to get them, unlike HB which has always had a problem with spares, I've had a Cyclone TC & a D4 in the past, both were a nightmare to keep on the track & it was the main reason I didn't jump on a D413 when it came out.

Comments like Hot Bodies always has problems with spares MUST be a location thing for you.... Other than the dock workers strike recently delaying orders I have had no complaints. My D8 was bomb proof... no need for spares. I had them, they sat new in package..in my pitbox.

I believe that mainly from the shorter chassis. The Schelle chassis was made to help eliminate that and from what I've seen at our track and tried out a couple of the 413s with the Schelle chassis you can definitely be a little harder on it in the corners and sweepers.

Now there are also a couple of fast guys still running stock chassis, that are hard and fast on them in the corners and don't see theirs doing that, so will ask what setup and springs they are running.

my car ran fine AGAIN this weekend
2 questions: Are you guys using a tiny bit of loctite on screws that go through arm mounts
also
never had this happen 'til this weekend; my front spring perches come off of shock ends (like there is not enough tension holding or pushing down from the springs to keep it in place)
anybody ran into this? might just glue them BUT I think that is unnecessary

I run the same 2274 and it feels the same way. Does not seem to be an issue, just the way it feels. If you are used to the servos on 1/8 scale, then part of it is the different geometry of the 1/10 scale. Not as much leverage to the servo horn.
