So I had a pretty tough collision today and I broke and bent the shock shaft.
the bummer is that it broke where the rod-end threads start, so I have a piece of the shaft still in the rod-end and can't get it out.

but the weird thing is that i also broke the plastic shaft guide and the piston...

how the hell did the piston break?!

Check the plastic inserts in the cartridge for deformation too, as they're likely out of shape now from looking at those parts. That had to be one heck of a hit!

They look fine, but i'll replace them anyway.
The crash wasn't as hard as i would imagine it would need to be to cause the piston to break. ho well...

thanks mathew;
rear traction is pretty good but it will slide out out exit of turns mid turn and straight away traction good but it will just get out from under itself exiting the turn getting on power for a jump.

here is the original post with other settings including anti squat

question for those of you with the sct 410 and eb48.2 does your buggy turn as well as the truck? I was expecting a bit more steering and rear traction, i like everything about the buggy but i need more off power steering and more rear traction, any tips?
the front kick up pill is in the middle dot if i lower that will that add steering or take away? the rest of the car feels good
track is high bite clay, pink springs front red rear oil is 40/35 losi fioroni pistons rear toe is 3deg and camber -1front -1.5 rear car also seems a little inconsistent on the steering,

It always amazes me how fast I get my Tekno orders. I ordered Thursday and got the parts in the mail Saturday afternoon.

What are you guys running for an outdoor shock package? Warm temps, in the mid to high 80's. I'm running f/35/8x1.3/green...r/30/8x1.3/red. Seems like im getting a lot of chassis slap when landing jumps. Some pretty good size triples. 27mm ride height, front and rear.

I run stock pistons and 40-35 oils.

Never been a fan of 8x1.3s. Everyone says they have better pack but I didn't see it with outdoor hot conditions.

I actually like the version 1 1.1x10s as well.

For large jump outdoor tracks I've been running losi 40 front and 35 in the back, 8x1.3 all around and kyosho light blue front and kyosho orange rear springs. The fronts are roughly Tekno yellow, and the rear is something like Tekno blue or purple.

Fun and very relaxed race day today for Father's Day.
The eBuggy lite class grew again, and the top 3 were all Teknos.

Hey guys,

I want to give you a heads up. I am out of stock on LRC inserts right now and have been trying to get to making more. I was hoping to get them running on Friday but I have been really busy at work and all 4 of my lathes are tied up. I am hoping to get them in the machine and ready to ship by Wednesday. Sorry for the delay.

Hey guys any tires suggestions for a very hard packed dry clay with lots of dust, very abrasive track, running aka i-beams soft and buggy is everywhere, front is pushing off power and can't square up for jumps, rear come loose real quick forcing me to take very wide turns feathering throttle thanks

Green or blue compound hybrids are my choice tire. I run them everywhere. When the track is real slippery, i go to sub cultures in green compound.

Default EB48SL

Not sure if I should post my EB48SL here or in the SCT410 thread. Anyway went to the track last week and I wasn't happy with a few things. Swapped the VTX8 for a RX8 Gen2, upgraded the servo to a Savox 1258TG, and installed an aluminum driveshaft. I also installed EB48 Shock Towers and got a new body for a bit of bling.

On to the pics...

I've also spent a great deal of time tuning the center diff and suspension set-up. Looking forward to my next track day

+1 on the Hybrids. How abrasive is the surface? (How long are tires lasting) Is there any loam? I'd give Hybrids and Stackers a try personally.

Don't overlook the Beta Cubes for a more dust free / grooved situation.
