I was buying a bunch of Tekno stuff from Amain today and 1 item was 4.00 higher than what it was on Tekno's website. Kinda unusual since Amain is usually a few cheaper than the manufacturer's website. So I chat with someone and they said they would talk to a manager and get back to me. Never happened. So I chat again 4 hours later and they say to call them. I call and the dude is like, well we'll price match it for you. I said ok. He then says how did you want to pay for it. I said with my Paypal balance. He said ok I'll give you a code to put in. It was the monthly discount code. I said ok but what about price matching the part. He said we did it with the coupon code. I said well I get that code in my email all the time and even if I take that part out I can still use it and get a discount off the rest of the order. He said let me check with my supervisor again..NO HELP!! I said fine..took that part and another they didn't have in stock anyways out of my cart and still used my coupon code and then bought the other stuff from Tekno's site. I thought Amain had better service than that. Maybe it's time to spend my Benjamin's someplace else.
Businesses are having it tough all over, especially here in CA. I got no problem paying a little more to keep a store in CA open.

It is too bad that you are upset over the $4 to go on here and try and smear the name of amainhobbies. I actually live in the city where they are located and everyone of those employees are top notch and go out of their way to help you, plus they have an incredible indoor track and will do anything to make their customers happy. If it was $400 then that is one thing, but for $4.....I am cheap, but you need to move on. Good luck to you.

I been in there, kind of boring. Bins and bins all organized and full of parts. Now the employees' break areas are awesome. Not to mention the track is on the other side of the warehouse. Awesome place to race and you can order parts from your air conditioned pit space via laptop and usually a cute girl delivers it.
If you have any issues with their customer service ask for Robyn the customer service manager. She will correct any issues. In fact if you would have ordered that part and paid the $4 bucks, you could have called her and she most likely would have given you more than the $4 dollars back.
The difference between Tower and Amain is night and day. For one Tower won't hire hobby enthusiasts (Hobbyists must all be thieves). Most of the employees that don't have to deal with the public are english as a second language workers. I seriously doubt all their employees are legal to work here. When I first bought my M11 at Tower they promoted a radio case that was specifically for the M11. When I got it I noticed the tag was for a firearms case. I carry my power supply and chargers in it because it messed up the steering wheel on my radio.
Amain on the other hand hires people who race, bash, and play with R/C's. They have excellent benny's and pay employees quite a bit higher than minimum wage. They also sponsor races all the time.
I would rather give $4 extra to Amain.

Just saying i would like to see sixty off sometimes makes me more willing to spend money, as far as the cupon code goes, thanks a bunch i have decided to buy some new gear. See if i got cupons in my email like that I would buy from them nonstop.

Try calling them again or send an email. I had a similar problem and it was all resolved through them. I'd give them another shot. They are a good company.
