Default AMAIN

I was buying a bunch of Tekno stuff from Amain today and 1 item was 4.00 higher than what it was on Tekno's website. Kinda unusual since Amain is usually a few cheaper than the manufacturer's website. So I chat with someone and they said they would talk to a manager and get back to me. Never happened. So I chat again 4 hours later and they say to call them. I call and the dude is like, well we'll price match it for you. I said ok. He then says how did you want to pay for it. I said with my Paypal balance. He said ok I'll give you a code to put in. It was the monthly discount code. I said ok but what about price matching the part. He said we did it with the coupon code. I said well I get that code in my email all the time and even if I take that part out I can still use it and get a discount off the rest of the order. He said let me check with my supervisor again..NO HELP!! I said fine..took that part and another they didn't have in stock anyways out of my cart and still used my coupon code and then bought the other stuff from Tekno's site. I thought Amain had better service than that. Maybe it's time to spend my Benjamin's someplace else.

I love Amain, I buy all my stuff from there. Their prices seem to go up and down by a few dollars. They have the medium Jconcepts hauler bag listed for $124 vs $84 on Jconcepts own site. That is too big of a price difference.

That's a huge difference! I've never bought anything from them, I really don't like the website and I don't buy off websites I don't like lol. Even off tower they have the MMM/2650 combo for 299 and the lhs here has them for 259

+1 I hate to say it, there prices beat my LHS and I do not have to pay sales tax + free shipping or really reduced shipping costs. I like their wish list function, I have one waiting for the 1/8 DEX408 EP buggy. Also they carry the extremely awesome UpGrade RC stuff.

Geezz.. you're one tough customer.
Let me get this right... You basically want a discount on a discount?

Perhaps us folk down under aren't as demanding..

Shopping online is a, win some, lose some thingy. So long as the net result is win.

its not the fact of $4 dollars its the fact that the site has something listed for a $$$ price and then when you go to purchase they add a couple bucks to it for no apparent reason. It was getting a discount it was getting the price that it shows on the website no discount. If I told you ill sell you this for $5 bucks then when you go to buy it I say $8 bucks you probably wouldnt buy it because I didnt keep my word. Thats what 2fst2c was saying.

i order nearly everything from amain: huge choice, very good price (u should see our prices in switzerland, prices are nearly double, even more so with our currency going straight through the stratosphere) and good ups shipping prices for overseas, so 4$ are nothing, thanks to amain every order saves me 100s of dollars for cars etc... i mean, the best example was: i went to the lhs for a tank for a savage, had to wait 3 weeks and paid 35 bucks incl. a discount, next time i ordered 2, had them 5 days later and saved money..

No I didn't want a discount on a discount. Maybe you read it wrong? They were 4.00 higher than the manufacturer's website and usually MFG's websites are full retail and Amain and everyone else is cheaper. They said they'd price match it and when it came down to it they wanted to price match it by giving me the OCT coupon code which I already had. I think I was more pissed by the guy's well then buy it there attitude.

I like a main I wish they would use big cupons like tower does. You usually get some off even though their prices are a bit higher, but the member 60 off 300 is clutch. I wish amain did that, it sucks spending 250 and getting five back.

Things like this will happen with any business they can't make everyone happy, just brush this one off.
