I assumed that last weeks schedual was just tweaked due to their bash. Did I miss something? What happened to make people think there is no racing this week? This is not the first time I have heard this rumor, but I hope it is just that, a rumor.

Has anyone heard anything "official" on this?

Hey all,
As you all know, we are down to two workers here right now. We were closed last weekend due to our Bash Fest. It would of made for a really long.. Day for who would stayed. Far as I know were still on for Saturday evening. I'll be at Lincoln for the October Bash as I just run dirt/clay off-road now, so I won't be here. I'm not sure who will be running the program. If anyone has questions pertaining to race day, please call us at 217-355-2277.
I sometimes don't have time to get on here to answer questions.
Hope to hear about a big turn out Saturday.

Hi Guys,
This is Barbara, one of the owners. Let me see if I can find out from Derrick if anyone is planning on coming this Saturday.. We don't have the track staffed by one of our guys until mid November... since it seems there is always something going on in October. They did have a race October the 5th, but haven't heard much from the guys since then.. Try to find out asap!

I'm not a big fan of playing the "we might be open" game. Tracks that have this mentality close quickly. I've seen it too many times. Especially when it involves dedicating what little free time we have in the weekend.

I understand you guys are short-staffed as of now so it's fine if you can't make it work until that's fixed.

You can't expect people to drive to Urbana on a "maybe we'll race", that's a 60 mile round trip for me and more for others we have in our group.

Maybe I'm alone in my opinion but if we could at least know if you're open for racing by the end of the workday today that would be a start.

I do agree with the above post. "Wait and see" turns into "out of business" very quickly.

Guys, we have Derrick who will be at the track for you. He has keys and so we are good to go from our end. We can not control how many of you come. From my understanding; you want 3 people in an event to have much fun..
We are totally flexible.. Bottom line.. We are open for racing Saturday night.

I'll be up there tomorrow with keys to lock up at the end of the night. Not sure what time I'll get there, but I'll most certainly be there by 6, so count me in for F1.

I guess we can take turns running the computer. I dont mind doing it, just need someone to do it while I'm running. Also need someone to show me how to set up races and stuff, I've never used it before.

Barb, I misunderstood this post then. I took this as meaning you were waiting to see if there were enough people before the call was made to be open or not.

I still don't have my f1 ready so I can run the computer for F1 and Derrick can get us going during 1:12.
