Thanks, I have a traxxas slash and a hpi car. Some of these guys on here
sounds like they don't want kids at your track. They seem mean, They must make to much money to care. Thanks for the info I will talk to my dad he would have to drive me
to the track. I like that you offered a discount.

Its not mean but a lot of us spend a lot on our gear. Its not that we don't want "kids". I have raced with 8 year olds and up. A 13 year old usually kicks most of our butts. We just ask that your respectful of us and we will be the same of you. You have come across wrong to a few due to the fact that a slash isn't cheap. 15 is cheap for 5-10 hours of fun. Where can you get that much entertainment for the time vs. price? If 15 is too much one just wonders how you can afford parts too though as well as tires etc. This isn't a cheap hobby especially to own two vehicles. So in the grand scheme of things 15 bucks to play is pennies.

It's probably a good idea to call the shop FIRST, before you go there to race, and ask if they carry parts for your slash & hpi car =

If they don't and you break something - like REAL EARLY =

You're pretty much done for the day.

And I doubt that you'll get a refund.

OBTW - They DON'T carry HPI Sprint 2 parts.

I don't get it if I race 5 min 2 times an that's 10min of track time and race one more
time for 5min that's a total of 15min for 1 class and have to spend 10hrs seems like
a lot of waiting to race.

After reading all 19 posts out of curiosity, this fella is starting to sound like the way Kenji did when he would push everyone's buttons to get and keep the local racing threads at the top of the forum. Seems odd that a local high school kid would consider asking his dad to drive him to tracks as far apart as Norridge, St. Charles and Joliet.

Has two rc cars and a dirt bike and he's whining about entry fees?

Check his posts and the times. Not exactly high school kid hours.

look all I was looking for is to come and race but some of you seem really rude.
yes I have a dirt bike its old and I have fun with it and I worked hard to
buy these cars used. Really what's your problem. I was looking to try racing
at your track but now I don't know if I should.

Really times look perfectly normal for any kid in that range. HS can be 14-19. What kid doesn't have a cell phone with internet at that age now a days.

Btw once the car is setup and the motor is cooled and you make adjustments to keep up with temps etc it takes hours not minutes. Plus if you actually show up and act cool you get to know everyone and 99 percent of the people out there are actually pretty cool and very nice people.

Alright guys lets keep it clean here.
Brain has offered an option for people if it applies to them.
So there should be no more talk about it.
Sorry for those who feel differently I just want to keep the peace and the family bond we all are here to enjoy.

Thanks
Aric.
