13.5 blinky stadium truck class @ leisure hours raceway

Isn't there already a thread for Leisure Hours electric?

After driving blinky buggy the last few weeks I wouldn't mind doing something like that. But personally I don't see it working out. We had I think 6 Mod trucks there Saturday night, and no 17.5 blinky buggy class, had to run with the Mod buggies. You can run a slower motor and be competitive, think I took 5th out of 11 Mod buggies and I was runnin my 17.5. Think Mod for now is the best option then it doesn't limit anyone on motors or speedo's, and we will be able to fill a class every weekend.
Just my thought on it........

Is most of the buggy racing stock or modified?
It's risky to introduce a new class and risk splitting racing even more but it can work if whatever you change to is more unique than what was there before. Mod ST is pretty close to Mod buggy in terms of driving style. 13.5 would be really good, just need to be sure most racers are willing to commit. It'd be easy enough for newer drivers but fast enough for the mod buggy drivers to enjoy.

There used to be a 13.5/19t class at LHR. It's mod now for a few reasons- out of towners whose local tracks ran either stock or mod (like most tracks) wouldn't race it because they didn't want to buy a motor, and many of the local racers wanted to go faster than a 13.5.
I personally like the idea of a super stock class (13.5), but it causes too much division in what are already (at times) slim fields of cars. The best option would be to leave the class as just mod truck, but if another class is made stock 17.5 truck would allow for out of towners to race without issue.
Either way, I see the stock classes tapering off once we go outside to race. Blinky anything is going to be like watching paint dry on the outdoor track...
