Hello

Thanks for the info on batteries.

I am going to swing past Toms to get the lowdown. I see these nice Trinity 5 cell hump packs, but i really dont know how they work or what i need. Will they fit in the MT radio tray?

Yea, that was a nice run. I was very afraid of lossing power again, that would have been the end of the run for sure.

I am thinking of tearing the whole radio tray down and rewiring it. I did not like the idea of random power outages. Even after I took the switch out of the mix it failed. Ask Tom, I saw him run about 65mph across the field to try and turn my truck off after it landed upside down with full throttle. I have a real fear that my sleeve/piston is totally gone now.

danconderman,
there should be some configuration that will work. bring your truck and match them up.

As to the power outage problem, you should be running a throttle return spring on your truck. Ask tom about those or pick up a spring at true value. I thought that they were going to have a rule about that this year. With one of these the throttle will slowly close if you loose power. depending on the strength of the spring and drag in your linkage as to how long it will take. You don't want too strong or it will burn up your servo but too little won't work. Even if it takes a second or two to shut it down that is better than chaseing it to LaValle.

I doubt that the run away did any additional harm to your piston and sleeve. You might check your connecting rod for play, but usually if it doesn't let go you are ok.

BTW, the guys with the A main wins sunday all had weak engines. too much power seems to make for too much crash.

Yea, i think there is a rule. I didnt know what i needed and I would feel like a tool walking into Dokter's and asking for a return spring. I should measure the distance i need and trek into True Value some afternoon.

Are there going to be more Tmaxx's racing in the week to come?

Because if there was enough I would race in that class. I seems logical 1/10 4WD.

Dan, I think that you would be comptitive with the maxx class. same power plant, 4wd, the maxx has more rubber on the ground but you are lighter and a little faster.

check out tom on the return spring, he used to carry them.

Sure, it's a pro-line modified T-Maxx with a .21 engine. Traxxas is coming out with a .21 model too.
