Default Night Race at the Rockpile

Final plans have been made. Marcca is having a special night race at the Rockpile on Saturday night August first.

We are renting commercial lights to light up the track for a special evening of racing under the stars. We will also have some electric generators for additional lighting in the pit areas. Racing fees will be the same as a normal Sunday race program. Three heats and a feature will be the format. Track will open at noon and racing to begin at three.

This will replace our normal race program that Sunday.

Come join us for a night to remember.

You guys know there is a Pro Series race in Peoria that weekend? That may kill the turn out.

I couldn't resist.

I have only been to the Rockpile, not Peoria. I like the Rockpile quite a bit, but haven't been up this year.

Ya I haven't been up there either this year also. I will for the Midwest series and if the night race changes dates.

classes are..................
slash
10th scale gas / electric
1/8 truggy
1/8 buggy

if you have enough (5) then we will add a class. like one week we had 5-6 mini trucks racing.

monster trucks will be in the truggy class unless we get (50 then you will get you own heat. bring what you have we will make room for all vehicles....

being that the peoria track know lies in a fllood zone from the illinois river, odds are that they will be flooded again

you can thank former gov blago for the rising water problem. he helped dig a big hole in chicago

Awesome that this race is finalized, and I'm happy it's on the day it's on, because that is the ONLY weekend I would be able to go Looking forward to this race.
