Well, just got home. Kinda skatey, slow ride. Saw a few cars in the ditch. I couldnt beleive how many idiots were going fast with spotty ice. Had a good time as always even though we had a sucky day sifting out our new cars. Atleast they were working well by the mains. How about you Point guys? Did you make it home OK?

it was a good time, sorta pissed at my self and some mistakes I made in the cars setup that screwed me over big time (missing the 2nd qualifier due to the crystal die'n in my reciever).

But it was my first trip to trackside since its been at the current location (went to trackside a long time ago before they were in the place they are currently) It was a good time, Scotty puts on a good show.

The "grove" in the track is pretty brutal though... if you get off the sticky stuff its like being on marbles

The walk in the parkinglot was more scary than the drive home. Until I got into Madison... turns out Madison doesnt use tax dollars to salt the roads... there was some pucker time going on a few times there hehe

Here are the results of the mains. I don't print the AAA scores to the text file yet, so those are missing.

Chad Due won A1 and A2 of Stock Rubber (Didn't he sell his T4 a few weeks ago ?).

Brad Johnson won A1 and A2 of Stock Foam

Sure glad there weren't 3 rounds of qualifying!

Nice panoramic. I was wondering what was screwing up the page width! And the secret to the ice is Blizzaks, remember I drive a TA! Nothing like ambarrasing an SUV on ice with a TA!

rcracenut- "How about you Point guys? Did you make it home OK?"

Yeah, we made it home fine. I didnt have any problems, all I did was close my eyes, and when I opened them, we were in one piece back at home. I love not having to drive

-danjan

PS. Hope everybody got home safely. See you all at the Novak.

The Stevens Point crew has made its way back. A long, but enjoyable day! The ice was bad the whole way, but became nearly undriveable as we got near home. The temp dropped below freezing and we were stuck below 30mph. It was all worth it, of course. We'll see everyone next week at the Novak, and I hope everyone made it home safely.
