I've been there the past few Sundays and carpet looks fine to me. The 1/12th scalers seem to be getting around ok.

Besides the track is the same for everyone.

Well except for the poor guy that gets on the drivers stand last and has to stand on the lower mezzanine level.

Well heres the concern.

These last couple series races ended up wtih people leaving at like 10:30pm or so. Some have an hour drive back home or more. Its a work night, many people have to be up in the morning. I know I sure as hell dont want to be dicking around at track side till after 10pm just to race home to get stuff unpacked, and jump to bed just to be able to get up in the AM on monday.

trackside will probably be the largest series race, so it may take even longer than Oshkosh or GB.

To me it seems pretty stupid, why not move oval to sunday? I mean this is a series race, not just a random weekend race.

How many entries did you have for the largest race so far ?

yeh 76 people

TS will be larger yet due to its central location and also the point when the other part of the 50/50 raffle will be held. And the last chance people have for getting more points.

There are some sponsors who are donating prizes as well but only for the last race too, which should help bolster turnout too. Plus you look at even 70 guys x $20 for the first class=$1400 + 10-15 people running a second class. I could care less which day it is, as Trackside is a 10 minute drive for me, but there are others that the Sunday date makes harder.

Doug, is there anyway at this point to be able to tell if that Saturday would be an oval or off road date? If off road, those guys could run thursday or friday, but oval would be a bit trickier. It's good to be thinking about this stuff well ahead of time.

Offroad already runs thursday, friday and some saturdays. Oval runs the saturdays offroad doesn't.

I want to get some more practice in (trying to keep racing every week - the only way I am going to improve) so I may go down to Trackside next sunday. Going to suck fuel though since I will be down there Friday and Saturday for Xmas with the family then driving home Saturday afternoon.

I also have monday off

I think it would be an oval day, but who knows if the Novak race might shuffle things around.

Maybe start earlier than normal

Someday, all of this will be yours.

What, the curtains? lol.

Okay, I've hijacked this thread enough.

Gary - I'll be listening for those ringtones at Novak... lol.

I know that due to it being Sunday , there will be more people taking their off race on that day. Just myself is $50 in entry fees not counting food (anyone that knows me, I eat alot), parts and raffle. I think it would be wise to move it back to Saturday. The attendence will be higher .
