Hi all,
My name is Juan and I want to show you my car.
I have designed and built it all handcrafted.
It has steam engine, two cylinders.
I would like to show it but I still do not have permission to post URLs.
Greetings.

Dude! That's fu@#ing awesome!!! I've long thought personal transportation vehicles should be steam powered. But there's to much money in gasoline so we'll just destroy the planet...
Sorry off topic, you got any video of it running? Coolest thing I've seen in a long time hats off to you sir.

It seems I can already post videos.
This first is the construction of the engine.
It is all done by hand, I only have one electric drill and a hand tool.

This is the construction of the boiler. I made it double body:

And now it was necessary to prove the whole:

And I started building the car.
First without direction. I just put a servo to control the passage of steam (accelerator).

greetings to all

Thank you very much.
I made the rear axle directional (temporarily) and with a servo already had address:

Another improvement I made is the wheels. It greatly improves its appearance:

This video shows the construction of the wheels:
I still make improvements such as a 2-speed gearbox or a differential like this I did:

That's an awesome build. One quick question how do you know when a steam engine is strong enough to use in a rc car? Like i seen cheap little steam engine on ebay for 100 dollars and i seen 1000 dollar steam engine. They dont give hp rating or torque rating

As for your question,
I really do not know. I have limited knowledge of mechanics.
I think it depends on the weight of the car.
The strength of the motor depends on the diameter of the cylinder and the pressure of the steam.
My engine has two cylinders. Diameter 20mm. The boiler produces steam at 1.5 kg / cm square. It could withstand double the pressure without problem. Pressure tests were performed at 13 kg. Per cm. square.
The approximate force per cylinder = 3 kg.
I'm sorry I can not help you better. If you send me the links of the engines I see them and I tell you that I think.
