Well me and Eric got the Holes in the ground, but the Rain came..... Looks Like practicing will be computer-less today guys. If it does dry up or stop we will most likely not have the system live..... Stay tuned. Things can change and this may god's way of just watering the track......

Sorry guys, but I think we're not making it to track today. Really gloomy up here & forecast doesn't look very good for timed practice. I work tomorrow & next week still on 2nd shift, would like help with lighting, but I think our schedules won't jive & Shawn on well deserved vacation + me & electricity don't get along so well. I most likely can get poles set, we'll see how it goes? BTW, Wife & I have small getaway planned Thur.-Fri.
Take care
Eric

Got about 10 good laps in, good traction, then the skies opened up. Big time! It was 69 degrees in Somerset in the rain, when I got to Ligonier it was 81 and dry as a bone.

I gotta tell you...I've been back at this for two races and I'm totally hooked again. I get like this with my current "thing" but RC is a lot of fun. I hope Sebastian feels the same and wants to come next weekend and then go to LCRC the following weekend.

I just wish there was a track in or near State College. I'm at the point where I'm thinking a Losi mini SCT track in the back yard could be REALLY cool. LOL

Good for you Bruce!!! Felt bad, not coming out, but had some "Honey Do" stuff & thought I'd better get them done. In my defense though, I was out at 7:30 am & digging out holes, before rain came around 9:30am.
I need to get some practice in with new motor (watch out Noah & Seb. W.)
I can now crash faster & bigger now

Any thoughts on pipe changes ?????

Default Raining in Somerset

Just back from track, got some lumber for project & worked on that piece of steel we use to get on track from above. Attached some large pvc pipe to plywood & laid steel sheet on top that, now there's a guide rails to it also moved it more left, due to muddy mess at bottom of after rains.
Ran some laps with newer motor & no heating issues after 10 min. run times.

OFF TO STINKIN' WORK!!! Have a good day fellows.
Eric
