No, I don't have a sailboat yet and it is not ordered yet........ I'm still debating that one.

However.......I did order a competition built crawler. No clod based crawler in my near future but a RC4WD 2.2 Bully has been ordered.

Jon...I'm up for any track time. Let me know what day works best and we can setup a BBSCT BBQ Event.

The RTR because the ARTR was out of stock. I ordered the Rocker Dig and V6 axles also.

My sailboat is ready for it's maiden voyage. Hopefully it survives.

Went to Toguchi and managed to break 3 crawlers.

HEy have any of you turned a model boat into an r/c boat? I have a 34" chris craft barrel back I wanted to convert. Let me know if you got any pointers. Thanks.

Igy/Jon....any recommendation on batteries for the Bully? Would they work for the sailboat also?

The Pimp Cane is a long term project since I would be making all the parts myself and piecing together the other components. The Bully will get me up and crawling sooner. It may even convince me to sell the clod axles.

I just ordered some more 850mah 3s batteries from Hobbyking for my crawlers. The sailboat takes a rc'vr pack just like 8th scale stuff.

Is there enough space in the boat for one of the lipos that your using on the crawler?

Also, the dig for the bully needs a 3P 3rd channel. I was thinking of going stick and was looking at the Turnigy 9X. Do you think that would work for the bully and for the sailboat?

Sailboat only needs two channels, left and right for rudder and up and down for sheeting in the sails--both are usually connected. I use a Life receiver pack for mine as well as 4 AA battery pack. I'm not sure what the battery tray in this sailboat looks like though...may show up soon..

Jon...thanks, I already knew about the 2ch's for the sailboat. Because of the 30/70 Throttle control on most pistol type controllers and to separate the sailboat from my "speed" cars, I want to go with a stick controller. Also, after driving Igy's cars I like the feel of the stick controller for crawling. I've been googling for a few hours and do believe my 3PK (pistol) and the Turnigy 9X are both capable of doing a 3P channel for the crawler dig.

From what I've read on most of the HobbyKing sailboats there is VERY limited space for a battery and no actual "compartment" for the battery.

You need to stop hanging around me and Jon. Your wife is going to hate us.

If the rain stays away, I will probably go crawl @ Toguchi around 6:00.
