Informal get-togethers
Hey Guys.
My buddy and I just picked up a couple of Slashes yesterday at Hobby Town in San Marcos. We will eventually get up to the racetrack, but in the meantime, do any of you guys ever get together in the North County SD area to race/drive? Or have any recommendations as to where to practice in the area?
Thanks!

Battery and Charger question
Hey guys.
I have a wall charger (cheap one although it says it is a quick charger). Nitro Power is the manufacturer.
Anyways, I was told at the hobby shop that it only should take about 60 minutes to charge the battery. They also told me that I should charge the battery until it gets warm.
So, I have kept in on the charger longer (3 hours today) and it finally got warm. Were they giving me the wrong information and should I always charge until the battery is warm?
I have 3 Venom 1800's. I have to tell you, I would have rather bought a better charger and battery because these things burn out quick. Is anyone else running these and if so, how long do you get?
Thanks!

I bought my nephew a decent Elite 4200 pak, and that last him a pretty good while. I think it ran about 40-50 bucks.
I like gas and go!

Dig,
1800's are not going to get you long run time and they also will not last along time. Also the 1800's are still nicad and most everything else is NIMH. My reccomendation is to go with at least a 3000. Also a wall charger is not the best bet for these, Spend a few bucks on a AC/DC peak charger around $40. The car is as only as good as the batteries.

Google Vail lake resort, map it . When you get there you will see signs locating the track. The track is in the back of the park.
