I understand Hemet recently put in a rock crawling "track" . The problem is figuring out when Hemet is open....or if there in operation...anyone know?

Doing good Donny V. Just real busy with work. I have 9 guys working for me now, and having a tough time keeping up. Cant complain though, there is alot of people out there in my trade that dont have work so I am very thankful. Im getting the itch to come out and race again. All my stuff is ready to go, I just need to find the time. See Ya soon Mike D

Hey jeff if you need run time , you need to call Dynamic Hobby's in hemet they have control of the track . I went out to the track a few week's back , had ton's of fun and the new layout joey put in was great .

I have always liked Hemet, great dirt, track size , good lighting etc. I wish they had a racing program and it was not a just a practice track at this point. I guess it is an after thought for Dynamic the way I read it. Even if they held a couple of races every so often it would be great.

I think for 09 they said they will have some racing over at the hemet track.

On another subject i've been trying to get dan to open the track earlier around 9 or 10 ish ,for practice then racing to start at 12 or 1230 . I think the whole idea of starting early is to avoid the cold and having to race at night, with the problem's with the light's . personally i don't see a 2 start solving those problem's . what do you guy's think ??? please express your idea's to dan

i think 2 is good.
i mean starting at 4 were finishing up between 8-9
so take off 2 hours from that say now finishing between 6-7
not bad plus the people who happen to work on saturdays can still make it if they want to. i think that is one of the major pluses.

i think the problem with the lights is more about the draw of the power
everyone is set up in the pits using up all the electricity
last friday night when we were prepping the track (nobody using power in the pits) all four lights kicked on in about 30 seconds.

Default start time

i agree with anthony 12 oclock would be a great start time.then we would avoid the cold when the sun goes down.

The 2 o'clock time is pushing it for me, but it is doable. I work on Saturdays. Some voluntary, and some mandatory. On the voluntary days, its no biggy. I can leave when i want, and get there in plenty of time to get some practice in. On mandatory days, I get off at 1:30, so I wont make it there by 2:00. The 4pm time was great because I could make it there either way.

I understand why Dan is changing it. It does get COLD! I didn't say anything when he asked for opinions. I wasn't going to try to push my situation on those that dont have to work. I will just have to play it by ear during the winter schedule. I COULD have always went to rev on the days I wasnt going to make it, but I just seen that Rev changed their schedule also. Bummer!!
