Most of the hardcore Losi guys at McCullough's are dumping the Big L and coming over to AE....

Jesse Robbers even said that the AE is easier to get going fast and more consistent then the Losi.....

4-man, I was planning on running 13.5 the next time we come over until I found out LiPo's are not allowed for the "stock" class! Since I do not own any 6 cell MiMH packs.........I would have to run mod! See what you can do. I can't speak for Ed but I think he would be up for that also!!!

Nonsense - only one guy switched over. Ron G. is trying his hand at the AE stuff. The Losi stuff is just fine and the truck and buggy both run every bit as good as the stuff from the other brands.

Just a question for all the racers coming to the race this weekend. How many of you out there are planning on running 4 cell stock brushed? I'm asking so I know the what to and what not to pack for the race. If there are enough for brushed stock I'll know to bring all the goodies.

I plan on running 4 cell stock, it is all I have. If there isn't enough to run then I will just mess with Gixxer's stuff while he is racing. Then, the next day I will have great deals on RC stuff on ebay.

iCe is you name on the list for stock ? If it is we have enough to have a class. Now all I need is for the weather to work with me. That and it looks like I'll be hauling all the goodies for 13.5 AND stock.

Glad to hear the lipos are legal in stock too.

With the proliferation of lipos and brushless motors I am hoping electric makes a small comeback this summer.

With so many people complaining about the cost of RC these days and the cost of gas, there isnt any reason why someone who ran carpet with us this winter couldnt buy a $180 Team T4 kit and continue racing with the same ESC, motor, radio, and servo they already have.

Maybe we'll even see a 13.5 Stock Truck class start up here in Altoona.

$180 is just slightly more than the 4-5 gallons of 30% feul an 1/8 buggy or truggy would consume in a single season!

Doug is not going to turn away a guy who is willing to pay 15 bucks to race....Neither would I, if it were me.

And for the record Ed, you are right, LIPO is not a HUGE advantage in BL Stock.

Dave, Until races are extended to 8-10 minutes, NiMh will run just as well if not better than a lipos. If anything, lipos are a bit down on punch when compared to a well maintained matched NiMh pack.

The guys who consistantly run 1st and 2nd in our stock touring car mains (Harding & Morris) both still use NiMh cells.

But there are some new lipos in developement that might change that.
