BTW, they are racing On-Road Saturdays at 6:30PM now.

Looks like it'll happen according to the Banana Facebook page ;-) i'll be making a trip up there for sure!I don't care for jumps, i just want good and tight lines to get back unto the groove.

So, what 1/10th buggy tyres for Banana? I have Schumacher mini pins and staggers in yellow already.

they most likely are not going to allow buggies on the crc carpet.. they are doing one final race on the small carpet off road soon then its going away.

what on road classes are being run here? I've been out of the loop for a while, but if I can convince my wife to let me make the journey up once a month, I'll get back into the hobby.

They are running 8 on-road classes every Thursday and Saturday:
  1. Mod Touring Car (1/10 scale 4wd chassis with Team Gravity rubber tires)
  2. 17.5T Touring Car (1/10 scale 4wd chassis with Team Gravity rubber tires)
  3. 21.5T USGT (1/10 scale 4wd chassis with Team Gravity USGT tires)
  4. 25.5T Vintage Trans-Am (1/10 scale 4wd chassis with HPI Vintage tires)
  5. 21.5T Formula One (1/10 scale 2wd chassis with any rubber tires)

  7. 17.5T 1/12 Scale Pan Car (2wd chassis with Lilac Compound Foam tires)
  8. Mod 1/12 Scale Pan Car (2wd chassis with any Foam tires)

  1. Sprint Car
  2. 2WD LM
  3. Formula One
  4. Sportsman Touring Car (aka. TCS)
  5. 21.5T Touring Car (aka. TC)
  6. 25.5T VTA
  7. NAS Class
  8. Kid's Class
  9. Silver Can Tamiya Mini's (M04 or M05 chassis 2WD, any rubber tires)

Well, i guess that's the nail in the coffin for 1/10th buggies in DFW then!

Now even RC Speedsports is going banked oval astro. Max credit to them though, they said if there is demand, they will cater for it.

A bit chicken and egg though.

Looks like Lucas and I will be up on Friday to run some oval with all y'all! We'll have our silver can Tamiya Minis (M03 and M05) with us. Based on Banana's FB page, it looks like there's quite a big turnout for them lately.
