Go to Mike's in Porter...then there's Katy RC....n M&M new off road and on road tracks.

Mike's is best one if you have 1/8 nitro or brushless tons of fun but long drive!

Ask around...I don't race anymore but last I did was at M&M Wednesday nights 1/10 touring on road.

Wow, M&M's on road program has been shut down for quite a while now. LOL.

RSD is going to be having indoor carpet offroad every other Friday of the support is there. With M&M closing, it could be a great alternative interested in offroad. I drove a Losi 1:14 4wd buggy on it and it was a blast. We ran it with touring car slicks.

If a mini-8 class ever gained some traction I would show up at RSD. The small scale stuff is a fun, cheap class to race.

all your info about MM and Katy RC is old......sorry.

MM hasn't raced on road in over a year and a half. MM is closing very soon.

Katy RC closed last year.

There is rumors of a indoor track opening later this year....stay tuned.

Holy that is terrible!! Yeah I've gotten into 1/5 Baja gassers in sugar land by Eldridge and US-90 and then in Alvin there's a motocross track and 1/5 plus 1/8 tracks. Decently kept too.

I am more into building custom scale crawler rigs and competition crawlers than racing. 1/5 racing that's fun...but 1/10 eh...

At least Mikes is still doing well right?! I'm thinking of building another 1/8 on road GT car 4s seems plenty for that track.

There are now a few Remote Control Hobbies stores in the area, they have been here a while, but just came across this thread.

One is on Barker Cypress north of 529 near Lone star College, the other is on I-10 by beltway 8 on the west side of I-10.

Just got back into R/C after a 10 year hiatus. I just moved to SE Houston about 9 months ago, here is what I found:

Remote Control Hobbies - Houston South

League City Marketplace
2950 Gulf Freeway South
Houston, TX. 77573
Tel: 281-337-7724

Well stocked, nice layout and great people.

There is a 1/8 buggy track that is next to the MX track in Houston:

Ultimate R/C Track
1836 Algoa Freindswood, Alvin, TX, Alvin, Texas 77511

Anyone run there? My son just got into the hobby and is already asking to go to a track. Anyone that run there know the preferred tire?

You might not get an immediate response here on RCTech. A lot of Texas racers have migrated over to Facebook in the "Texas RC Racers" group or to the forums on RCFiles.com. Welcome back to the hobby!
