Couple of queries I have:
Last weekend we had a big meeting here, and I brought out a brand new Br00d Ti for the event, but it gave me nothing but problems all day. It was 30 degrees celcius air temp, and 50 degrees celcius track temp (86F air and 122F track) and was also very humid (over 90%). In the morning when it was cool my car was flying. I got in one reasonable qualifying time in the first heat, but by the 2nd round it was midday, and really hot. My comm completly burnt up within 2-3min of racing and the car rolled to a stop. I turned the timming all the way down to about 4 degrees to try and last a race, but no luck, it completly fried each race and needed a very heavy cut after each race to get the comm looking good again.
So I ended up finishing one race the whole day, nothing that I tried worked.
I later tried my older Br00d Ti which I had been practising with the whole week before the event, and it went perfectly.
The only difference between the two motors was the new Ti had Trinity XXX LeMans brushes instead of Reedy 777, and the armature was center cut, which my old one is not.
So basically I have concluded that if they are the only things different between the two motors, it must be one of them causing the comm to fry. To me, it makes the most sense that it was the different brushes I was using that caused it. But I have come to ask the experts, is it likly to be the brushes? Or could the armature being center cut have anything to do with it? Or could something else of caused me the problems? (keep in mind the car, gearing, timming, conditions and everything else was the same)
So basically that armature is completly rooted now, and I need a new one before the nationals in a few weeks (starts 7th Feb). Before I order a new one I want to hear your thoughts on if the armature being center cut could of caused any of the problems, because if thats true I will just get a stock one this time. And I also want to know if I order it within the next day is it likly to be processed and get to me in NZ before the 7th of Feb.
Sorry for the novel lol, hope you can give me some help.

Coons88,
As a quick test. Put the center cut arm in the other can. And give it a run. It might be a bearing or magnet problem with the new can.

center cutts require a way different gearing....if you dont get it just right or run it when the gearing is off then they usually go...
I wiped out the voicemail on the brood phone and did a new message...
i am going to stay on top of this from now on...cell phones arent the best for a buisness phone...
orders are flying out the door....i have lots of emails about tracking on packages..im getting to them one at a time...
tony vega, packed up today, ship out in the AM

Also, Garrett remember abit over a month ago now, I emailed you to get some stickers. I paid but I don't think they ever got posted. So I will get you to send them with the arm.

The center cut arms need to be geared down.
I ran one over the summer.
It was so freaking fast I couldn't believe it. (Seriously I'm not just saying that cause I MADE them ) I did blow a wind on one of them, but I think it was my fault.. It just didn't like doing 9000000 RPM down the 300ft straight. I swear that thing was doing like 70mph!

So.. center cut put more RPM on motor, but less torque? I still can't finger what's the effect.

Are the 23t Atlas based motors rebuildable or are they the fixed endbell kind? Thanks
