Thanks for the info guys. Got my packs on saturday, can't wait to give them a run!

If someone specifies what they will be running it in in the comments section then I will pull something I think is most applicable for their application.
Generally a 12th scale likes something a little more efficient for 8 minute race with a medium rotor. Oval guys like the lowest resistance they can find with a weaker rotor for the open classes and stronger rotor for spec classes. Off road and TC I try to find the strongest rotors I have for their application.
It mainly comes down to rotor specs for each class really. Which I always try to accommodate what the customer wants.
Thanks
EA

We're still running boosted 17.5 12th scale up here in Western Canada.
I need a new motor but I'm not sure the D3.5 is right for this class because of all the timing built in. Any thoughts?

Kevin, it's the same as any other motor in terms of mechanical timing. The only difference is how they label the 'neutral' setting. In other words, you can set it to the same timing as any other motor and the only difference is the D3.5 can will say 10 where another motor will say 40. Physically it's the same, it's only the marks on the can that differ.

I'll be testing your Tekin settings this Sunday, watch out Steve!

I'm putting together a GT car for Thunder. The ROAR list says this is the only motor I can run is "Triniy D3 21.5 TEP 1057 Purple Capped Rotor", and the " TRI 10415 Pulse 21.5T ". Can you get these and can you "legally" do anything to them?

I would like to thank EA for the 17.5 D3.5 power plants, awesome power all weekend and ran faultlessly.
I ran them at the Australian 1/10th onroad National Titles in 17.5 boosted in some very high temperature and humidity conditions and they didn't miss a beat
I qualified 7th in the A-Main in a large field (it went down to an F final), the first final I placed third, unfortunately in the next two I had some incidents and end result was 6th overall
Thanks again EA

Thanks Eric for bringing those 2 batteries to the race for me yesterday, now I have 4 of the EAM 70c 5000mAh packs.
Anyone needing some good power needs to try these packs, you will not be disappointed! These packs have great punch, balance well, 3c charge rating, and are lite weight.

I gotta give credit where credit is due.
EA, you've done great work with the D3.5s.
Both my 12th scale and TC had power where I didn't have to worry about anything there. It was more about making cars handle and me simply driving better. After a 2 year time-off period from On-Road... it's looking like I may be working a little harder to get back on top form.
Thanks again for the hook-up.
Can't wait to try out that 4.0!
