Just got my stuff unpacked from Race 1 of the Dakota series which was at WWNH in Mandan(bismarck) ND. Adam drake was there and it was a blast. I had some pretty tough luck although. In mod truck I ran so so the whole weekend. I ended up with a 6th place I believe will know forsure once results are posted in that out of 11. in the A. In stock truck I made the A qual'ed 3rd only a few seconds off a TQ pace. I ended up not being able to run the main tho as a bearing or the top shaft in the tranny locked up. In gas truck I never finished a qualifier . Broke a ball stud first round, sec and third I ended up flaming out due to a too rich engine. Got it all tuned up today and just before the C main Turned the car on and my steering servo was just going crazy. Must have got a lil water in it or maybe shorted a wire although I didnt see that possible lookiing at the wires. Oh well there is 2 more races left and I just gotta get some bugs worked out. Hadnt touched my stuff in a month but now im anxious again. Fusion power was terrific in stock and mod and the reciever pack went all day no charge. and is holding strong. Thanks and good luck to anyone racing this week!

Josh- check out

It all depends on what you want. 4 or 6 cell, 3300 or 3700, higher voltage or lower voltage etc. Lots of variables I guess you could say. Fusion has some great deals on 3 packs not sure if it is done yet but I know they had some killer prices.

No, what I forgot to add was how much does it cost "for the company" to make the pack. They probably get rediculous deals on loose cells, and I was just wondering what it costs for them. I've been to their site though. Probably going to pick up a 3 pack, and split it with my friend. I have a 1.175 SMC pack. How would this compare? Will I notice more punch?

Josh That is not an answer that needs to be made public. I am sure you understand.

Josh,
the answer to will you notice more punch is a loaded question. The difference in resistance with our construction compared to you building a pack yourself is considerable. How much better our construction is compared to your soldering skill is subjective. The better your skill at soldering the closer the two packs will be all other things equal.

What a long weekend of racing at the 4th Babcock Series race . Aaron's Fusion batteries ran awesome. Qualified 2nd and finished 2nd in Stock Buggy. Stock Truck was was rough, lots of motor problems, but managed to finish 6th.
Ran the new GP3700's in Mod Truck, and man do they ever rip. 5 minutes isn't even a challenge for these cells. Aaron brought up the back of the main, but when you consider how many world class drivers were there it was a good first showing in Mod. Couldn't be happier with our battery choice.

I will try them out on Sunday and show them around so people can see you can buy quality cells pre made. Saves a lot of work ! Andy
