road trip?!#@$ fun! but not to omaha!! (no offense!)

i did a lot of work today and found we lots of stage5 35 amp matched 3300's, roars, monsters, bearings. 3700's are coming alone nicely. i had to make some changes to the sequence revelation uses for on thse cells, since that time 1.19's are popping up like flowers in the spring! ha! more atlas motors will be in within the next week or so (sorry guys!). i also hear some new performance products will be released next week for the tc3/tc4 and other touring cars. we now have brushes in bulk if you need them too!

be good guys, have a great weekend!

Gary, are you up for a little dirt racing this sunday? Hopefully mother nature will be kind to us again. At least it will be warmer on sunday than it has been at last two races. Hope to see you there.............WAYNE

JP- What brushes will we be carrying? Do you think that Mike can tune me a Surge MH stock for off road truck? I will be needing some extra HP in my next Carolina's Points Chase series race than my P2K2 has (much bigger track than race #1).

Race update. Carolina's Points Chase series has started here in the Carolina's. This is an off road series with the best 3 out of 4 races. We race 2 tracks in NC and 2 tracks in SC. The first race was at CRCC, indoor off road, (Charlotte RC Center). I am racing 2 classes in this series. Stock Truck and Pro Truck. We had a good turnout for the first race. We had around 115 entrants, with an A and B in stock truck and an A,B,and C in Pro Truck. Qualifying went very well for me in both classes. In Pro Truck I qualified 3rd in the A with 13 laps (there was only 3 of us turning 13 laps, and I was TQ after first round). In Stock Truck I also had a good run and qualified 3rd in the A. In the Stock Truck A main it was really a beat and bang race. I got beat to death in the first lap and was down near the last cars. I worked my way back up but just couldn't catch the leaders. I finished 5th in the A in Stock Truck. In Pro Truck we race a 30 minute main running gas trucks and brushless mod trucks together. I run a brushless set up in Pro Truck (we have a mandatory battery change pit stop rule). I got out clean with the front of the pack and stayed up front for almost the whole race when my battery decieded to quit at the 27 minute mark and I was running 3rd at the time (#$^&*@*#). Well with only 27 minutes in after the race I ended up 8th in the A main. All in all I had a great day of racing. Thanks to Surge for all the power I need.

I know our track director is leaning strongly towards a brushless class this fall. Never having to touch your motor definately has a certain amount of appeal. Plus... you can probably start running 8 minute sedan races with a brushless class.

3700's and a SS4800 brushless would be a good way to get lots of track time in. However, it take a bit of getting used to how the brushless setup rolls so free into the corners. If you don't set some drag break or compensate for it you tend to overshoot the corners a bit.

How are the GP3700's coming along JP?

it seems to me that brushless takes away some of the fun r/c... but i'm old school, so i think it's understandable that i think that way. i see our local track is running some brushless now, they seem to be pretty fast and low maintenance -- certainly good for the newbies.

the 3700's are coming along very well. we decided to do a pretty large volume to start i've been tweaking the voltage enhancement for optimum cell enhancement. so far the numbers are turning out very good.. they'll be ready to go soon.
