Default US Indoor - ORCA Podium Pictures

Hi,

Andrew and Martin had some great races at the US Indoor Champs over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

In the Mod Class, Martin finished 2nd and Andrew finished 3rd. Both had competitive lap times and finished a few seconds behind the winner - Keven Hebert.

In the 17.5 Super Stock class, Andrew finished 2nd behind Keven and Martin ended up in 4th place. The ORCA ESC/Motor combination allowed Andrew to set the fast lap of the main - almost as fast as the best Mod lap times.

Here are some pictures from the trophy presentation - no trophy girls .

Regards,
Ian

Default Andrew's ESC Settings for US Indoors

Hi,

Here is what Andrew was running for 17.5 Boosted at the US Indoors. The motor was the ORCA RX2, ESC was the MkII and the battery was the ORCA 6000.

FDR: 6.38
Bars: 3.5

ESC:
Timing: 27
Turbo: 44
Turbo Delay: 0.1
Turbo Interval: 2
PWM: 8k
BF: 1k
Drag Brake: 6
Initial Brake: 4
Punch: 10

It came off at 170 degrees - so I would recommend working up the motor timing gradually.

Regards,
Ian (Andrew's Dad)

Default ROAR approved?

Hey just wondering if ORCA is going to make it back on the ROAR approved list again? Right now I don't see it listed on there site.

Can anyone tell me what features of the Orca Q Spark can be updated via the USB link? Just saw the software link of the Orca website.

Searched the ROAR website. They don't even seem to have a category for ESCs with timing. Maybe it's not an issue?

Long story but ORCA was caght doing the wrong thing with blinky software at a race meeting and were removed from the ROAR list as punishment.

Not sure when they were going to be put back on.

And as said there is no restriction on ESC;s for timed

The ban on Orca was lifted in Nov. 2011. Some other sanctioning bodies lifted the ban earlier.

Hi all, does anyone have a really good setup for the ORCA VRITRA VTC PRO MK1 esc, GM2012 13.5 motor on a high grip carpet track - 30m x 16m. Usually quite twisty with one straight running the full length.

An idea on FDR would also be cool

Thanks

Thanks Craig I'll give that a go.

This is what I'm currently using, but I must admit, I'm not clear on what does what, as this was a friends setup. How would the setup on note 125 perform differently to this setup?...

Timing: 39
Turbo delay: 0.05
Turbo timing: 58
Turbo interval: 1
Punch:10
PWM: 4k
Drag brake: off
Initial brake: off
Brake freq: 1.4 kHz

Thanks.
