I would use the tray for about 20 minutes before the first charge. I would watch the batteries the first couple of charges to make sure it doesn't false peak or overheat. The discharge tray can be used for 20-30 minutes before charging from that point forward. You can leave them on the tray for longer as well and gain a slight increase in voltage and lower IR with minimal loss in runtime. Enjoy!!

NOTE: The tray is an "equalization" tray not a discharge tray. The battery needs to be in a dischrarged state (down to 5.40 volts using lights and cutoff switch or a Turbo 30/35/GFX) before using the tray.

~You can leave your batteries in the tray until all the lights go out. It is at that point that they are all equalized. Depending on how much of a charge is in them depends on how long you need to leave them on the tray. Promatchrcr is correct in that if you leave your cells in the tray even after the lights go out you will gain voltage.

~ummm....Eddie let me think about that hmmmmm...........uh NO!!!!

Good Morning promatchrcr!

Hiya PMRGrrrrrrl hehe - I received the battery cases - evil edition. Thank you for looking into the special request. I'll cycle some packs this weekend. Last weekend I was having chassis/motor issues that I had to sort out and didn't get a chance to run the "good stuff" TTYL

PMRGirl: good morning... ma'm

One more thing about the lights out on the tray....it will take quite a while. If you want to do that do it the night before and let them sit on the tray till the next morning(race day)
