There are numerous dischargers out there. I use the Novak, alot of people like the Rayspeed, I've seen some people use the Integy. All will do the job, some more precise than others.

Neil: I think yodace is looking for a discharger not an equalizer. He is speaking of a substitute since the Deans black box is no longer available.

I've been using the Integy 20Amp discharger for some time. It helps discharge packs after 5 minute runs and "cuts-off" at approximately 5.9v. Even though it does not do a race simulated dump...I feel like the 20amp discharge is easier on the batteries.

For equalizing I use a Novak tray and a MuchMore tray. I always use the Novak tray before charging and I use the MuchMore tray when I have the time and want some CRAZY punch.

I am using a SmartTray from Promatch and looking for something to discharge my packs. Then use the SmartTray to equalizes the cells link the Promatch site suggests.

Rod, we should ask Erika if they have batts to make our M18's go 159mph.

Chris, just pull it off the tray and charge. DJ used his on Jimmy J's batteries during the Reedy Race and it helped a lot.

Yodace, the Integy discharger works well for your needs.

rod, sweet. i had all three batteries on these trays for TCS. do you ever have to "zap" them through your power supply to start charging it?

i had to "zap" my batteries to jump start them since they wouldnt start charging on my yokomo BCS.

Chris, I never had to zap my batteries to wake them up. This is with an LRP charger.

Edit: Yodace, I don't consider myself a pro/factory driver but people have used my discharger before.

Does this look factory to you?
