Any thoughts of making an in-line battery version?

i have thought about doing that.i cant seem to get enough rearward weight with that configuration though.i know that there are 2 companies out there that have it.i just cant get the weight distribution that i am looking for with the inline setup.i did alot of testing with battery and electronic placements and used the one that seemed to have the most amount of usefull adjustment with also keeping things simple for the end user.

Jason, I was wondering if you ever checked on the pricing for the chassis for me? Also, can the Xray battery guides be added to the Cyclone chassis?

Thanks.

How do I pay for it and does it have holes for the the Xray battery positioners?

no it does not.i champher the cell slots so the batteries sit flush with the bottom of the chassis.i never had cells come loose.it will also be tough to get the batteries in the car with them on there anyway.the batts would jam on the layshaft mount.

I can understand that...I've just always been partial to in-line battery setups in pan cars ever since my EV10. Given that the Darkside and Diggity seem to handle pretty well in-line it may still be worth considering.

CONGRATULATIONS LARRY FAIRTRACE !!!!! Larry is the new Snowbirds Stock Foam National Champion!!Larry wheeled his BMI Cyclone to victory.his car was looking great all week and really put it together for the main.he was blessed with a ton of HP from Express motorsports and showed his skills when he and Jason Schreffler pulled away from the field. Both were blazing fast.
Jason schreffler Tq'ed stock Foam and was the ONLY car to hit 29 laps with his BMI Cyclone. He finished a close second right behind larry. It was nice to see the team effort between the 2 of them. once they had a big lead on the field, they just cruised and made sure not to pressure eachother and hurt either ones position.great job guys Again,he had some ballistic HP thanks to express and Jason drove the wheels off the car.very impressive guys.
Jason Schreffler also put his BMI DB12R in the A main even knowing that he only had 1 day of practice before the snowbirds with the new car.everyone running the car got it working extremely well.My car was ballistic but i just couldnt get a clean run. congrats to all of team BMI for all of the support and Amazing results. The new 1/12th car has exceeded my expectations so far.it has an A main appearance at an early stage.it will be almost unfair once we figure out the right setup.not bad for 1st showing

Congrats guys!

The cyclone carpet kit is a beautifully made bit of work and I'm glad to see that the guys did great this past weekend!

Maybe I can do some good things with it in a few weeks at the carpet nats
