For the FK05 kit, On the upper deck, the top motor mount screw position, should that be countersunk. the one I have is not and I am just wondering or did you want people to use button heads so there is still some material around that area. OTherwise the chassis is a work of art.

How much is the 05 upper deck and chassis? I wouldn't need the shock towers or battery strap, but out of curiosity how much is the complete kit?

Another option is to use 3mm concave alum washers with a slightly longer standard screw. The washer gives more surface area to better resist eating into the CF. Racers Edge makes the washers.

hey guys,

i finished the prototype TC4 motormount. it came out extremely well and the look and function is exactly what i was lloking for but the cost exceeded what i was hoping for. That being said,im a little uncertain if it would sell being that the cost will be on the high side. If i was to release the motor mount it is going to have a price tag of about $50.00. My question is would this mount be worth buying? I am looking to see what you,the consumer want. All input would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
jason

My Ol' Lady's pretty much the same way. If I'm working on the car, she's out of the way till invited. Not that I don't want her around, she just knows this is "my" thing and she's secure enough to not try and get in the way.

In fact she's remarkably supportive of my racing. Even when I came close to killing myself in a kart, she never said a word about me quitting. She doesn't bitch (much) about the money, or my time at the track, or beer with the guys afterwards.

A great lady to be sure.

Hey Jason why not make it a two piece? Motor mount and shaft support.
I think that would leave a little room for shimming the shaft support to get the proper gear mesh in the case.
