Actually I do have a little announcement. I was picked up by Schumacher this week to run the MI2.
Congratulation Jon - I hope you enjoy it. Seems like your resume is really taking off.

Thank you. I'm really looking forward to seeing what I can do with this car. I just got the car last night and the quality is great. I just need to get some serious track time in before regionals.

Jon - Let us know how you like it. I would be tickled pink if Xray picked me up, but that's a long shot. They're too big. LOL I'm happy to be with BMI, they make the Xray better! And soon, to make the RC12L4 better. I can't wait for that sucker.

John - what's your opinion on the BMI chassis for the XRay, and have you used it on carpet? Have you compared it to the new XRay rigid chasis?

BMI 350 chassis? Absoluetly incredible!!!!

I've driven the BMI chassis on carpet and it's much better than the stock chassis. Not only is Jason's workmanship awesome, he does R&D and design changes with us, his drivers. This 350 chassis has the batteries moved .350" forward and closer to the centerline for quicker transition. BMI only buys the best Carbon Fiber. The CF that he uses has a grain direction in 3 directions, Front/Back, Left/Right and DIAGONAL, not like Xray's two direction (F/B and L/R). It's super stiff and never flexes. And his thickness is 3mm, very thick and he mills out holes to lighten it up without compromising flex. Combine this with his super stiff 3mm upper deck and you got yourself a awesome carpet machine, all for a very low price! His chassis is also lighter than the Xray, and cheaper. Jason stands behind his product.

Here's a pic of my Titanium colored 350 chassis.

my fuku packs slept in the closet for half a year and i just dig them out and charge them yesterday, no false peak at all, all peak below 9.20V at 135~deg, and the punch is still there.

it's time to put a real work out for the packs for the winter season

Default Getting

I just purchased some Fukuyama Batteries recently and hopefully they come soon. I was wondering at what mv should i charge them at to get good punch.

I charge at 6amps and 35mv right now. Should i change anything?

Also battery maintence, probably been asked a million times. After race/practice run i should discharge at 30amps down to 5.40v and then try them until .9v right? Anything else i need to do?

Are you running mod, 19 turn, stock?

Run your packs once a day if you can, discharge to 5.4v and store them after they've cooled. (not on a fan) Tray them before the first charge of the day to .9v then charge. No need to tray after the run. Don't put hot packs in a battery case. I had a pack vent and ruin 3 brand new packs that way a while back.

JDXray -

You can adjust your peak detect based on the heat of the cells at the end of the charge. If they're peaked and around 110ºF you can increase your peak detect higher to get in the 120-130ºF range.

What charger do you have? Tray the pack to .9v/cell before your initial charge. Discharge them to 5.4v/pack @30 amps after each run and let them sit for 1-1/2-2 hours before the next charge. You can run them a 2nd time in the day and you'll find the chemicals will excite more and give you more punch. Do not run them 3 times in one day.

Thanks for purchasing Fukuyama cells. I'm sure you will find them fast if you take care of them well.

I am using a CE Turbo 35 GFX and LRP Pulsar Sport. (Might get a Novak or LRP Comp charger to replace the Sport)

Okay so run tops twice a day never 3 times. Tray before Charge and run. Discharge @ 30 amps after run, let cool for 1 1/2-2hrs.

I have always wanted to use Fukuyama but never got the chance to get to them, now i have. Thanks again guys
