Just a small motor update - We still have some testing to do but so far from what I have seen, the older duo Murfdogg 17.5 and 13.5's still have more bottom end then all the other companies new motors and the new Murfdogg stuff has more RPM and torque then the older motors and runs cooler.

Hey Matt,

Any news?

I tried to check your site, but it is down, and it looks like this thread got very slow as well. Now that th weather is getting nice again, I am getting all my stuff ready to run. I need a 17.5 for my truck, my son is going to start running this year in Rookie. I will have it dialed way back til he gets better, but I see no point buying a lesser motor as I will want your power once he can handle it. My crappy 13.5 that you out ran with your 17.5 is now in my 4WD buggy, and with a Mamba Max Pro pushing it, it runs far better. I was going to use it for my son, but thye really want only 17.5's in rookie. Hope to see you by Hot Rod some time.

Default New Motors

Howdy. I was wondering, Racing season is almost upon US. West coast.

Many tracks are going to be opening in the next few weeks. Some have

already opened. (1/8th scale)

Do you have any ideas as to when you product will be ready? I see many

people are waiting on the goodies from you.

Will the old motors with more torque be available as well??

I also see the website is down.

Please let us know.

Thanks

Default Re: Motors

I just heard that the new motors are currently being either sold or testing.

I was going to purchase last year, but, never was able to catch up to the owner.

If he's out there, please let me know info. I want to purchase.

Thanks

I am sorry I have not been on here in a while...

The reason I have not been around is simple..... I personally have been out of work. I have been busy trying to find work, and that is a full time job in itself. Without work, means without income. Without money, I cannot buy motors to work on, and then sell to my faithful customers.

We have worked hard on developing new motors, but it still takes money to produce them. We are trying to break out of the financial hardships, and many others know how the economy has been. When I am able to continue pursuing the Motor Business, I will post all info here. We have lots of exciting new things, that had to be put on hold.

Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience, and look forward to one day soon providing my customers with the best products available.

And for the record, the newer motors do not have less torque than the older ones... they make more power everywhere, with a broader powerband. You will be excited after you get to try the new motors.

Thanks Zack!

It is good to hear from you again Matt, but I am very sorry to hear abuot the job situation. This economy is a bitch for many people. I know you had the best "Spec" motors last year, but even selling as many as you can put together in your home, it is not a replacement for a normal job. Noone is will ing to pay enough for you to make a living on toy motors alone. I wish you the best of luck finding something. What type of work are you looking for, and what is your knowledge base? If I come across something up your alley I will certainly let you know.

Talking Times

Well, I understand. I too feel what you are saying and feeling.

Need money to make money.

Well, I hope this changes. People like you help make this industry better.

I don't know how much you charge for your motors, but, I hear great things.

Hope you find what you need to get this back online. As with Technology, I

also hope you get back online soon so, all of your work to bring new products

don't get left behind an you have to do testing all over again with a new

base product.

Look forward to be one of many customers of yours.

Thanks for getting back to us and letting us know.

Default WE'RE BACK!!!

Hey guys,

Sorry for my absence in recent months. I am putting together a fresh batch of motors, which will be ready well before in the next 2-3 weeks. These are ROAR Legal motors and are the same motor I previously offered and we have won 3 ROAR national Championships with.

The NEW motors I have been working on have begun production, and are very fast, but are not yet ROAR approved. The motors must go thru the ROAR approval process before becoming legal. This can take a few months.

Let me know if you will be needing anything in this batch so I can have appropriate quantities.

Thank you for your patience.
