Default Great day at B&T

Well Jason was on fire with his Stock buggy yesterday.
Went out and won both qualifiers, so was the TQ. First-time ever!
Then battled the #2 guy for a few laps before he had some bad luck. Jason then lapped the field and came home with a clean sweep in stock buggy.
He was so pumped of course!

Then with the truck he was sitting #3 after first Q, but we had to scratch the 2nd because a wire on the ESC starting coming off. After we did a little sodering had him ready for the main. But then the motor decided it had enough. Got a little too hot and the brushes kept sticking--first time we've had to deal with that. I think it was that I hoped to squeeze one more night out of the good ole' Banzai before I did a total rebuild...oh well. She'll be ready for the next race!

Also raced his D8 for the first time. That was quiet the experience. LOL
Good thing Marcus was around, helped us out a lot. Jason ended up 5th (out of 9) in the main so he actually did very well! He trimmed nearly 5 second off his best lap times from the 1st Q through the main.

Anyways, I've taken up enough bandwidth with the long post.

Hope everyone else is having a ton of fun racing around the world and have a Happy Easter.

-Drew

How did you mount up the back bumper?? Did you mount it directly to the frame or the body?? I mounted the front bumper directly to the frame, but haven't figured out a way to get the back bumper attached

Good job, Billy!!! Glad the motor got there in time for the race!

Downtown, way to "crawl" !!!!!!!!! Give me a call when you can
so we can catch up!

Drew, AWESOME day of racing for Jason! Bet he was all smiles!
Yep, when those brushes "give up the ghost" they're done!!! Nice to
see Marcus was there to help with the new 1/8th scale.

KStarr, how did you end up?? Are you back on the road??

I saw Ryan Dunford had a good day at OCRC! Winning in mod.

We will be at Revelation for the start of the JBRL. If you need
something, call or email me!

Also, the monitors on this site are really cracking down. Some
threads have been removed. I can't post about new products
or when things have come in. BUT, I can answer questions
about things if someone asks!!!!!!!!!!!

Good run, Billy!! Now I'll keep my fingers crossed no more
rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KStarr, wow, far from home, way over in Oregon!
You'll break the BQ streak, nothing wrong with that though.
40c, no, not yet.

We had a great time at the JBRL this Saturday and Sunday.
As soon as I get results from Casper, I'll post them.
Thanks to all the team guys and customers that came out
in the heat.

Also a big Thanks to Zack and Chris Wesson for making the
trip from Bakersfield.

Stay tuned for results!!!!!!!!!!!

Should have waited, the Banzai 35 c's have been awesome!

Fez isn't here, he's living in Nebraska. Talked to him last week,

he is doing fine. But we sure miss him!

We didn't make it in the heat until the Mains, so I still don't

have results, but I think, Chris Wesson bumped from the B

all the way to WIN the A-Main in Stock Truck. Scott thinks

there were about 36 in that class, as all stock run together

this year, no sportsman and expert, just Stock Truck!!

Way to go, Chris!!!!!!!!!!

Jimmy posted on his thread he hopes to have results to me by wed. Yeah no expert stock with 5 cars anymore. Instead they have slash, 8th scale and SS 4wd. I think there was a good turnout in most classes this year. Should be fun to see this years series evolve with the new classes!

results of the current 'downtown BEATdown' tests..

twin 55t Crawler motors on MOA(motor on axle) rig.. 35 runs @ 11.1 volts..brushes just seated nice.. on the 2nd cut of the com. 0 perfomance loss noticed..timing split 7 degrees between front and rear motors..

twin 45t crawler motors..just a couple of runs but.. really likin the extra wheel speed, with the same torque That I need for the low end grunt..

OK
The big one...
the downtown Beatdown tests combined with the DiEsel 'PUSH er' tests...
Speed Passions 1/8 scale Brushless..8.5..on 4s 5250 mah, 30c...
On a 200' x 75' track..

Out of control Fun!!!

perfect amount of controlable power on dry track, and hookin up awesome when wet.
15 mins of WIDE open flying and squarin of HUGE berms...
temps were at the top limits of being acceptable.
Ran the Nitro 1/8 in all the same conditions..
