Hi Rlau99, thanks for the info bout the battery. So if i wana buy one for my rc car i should get a higher mAh and also higher C. But can i use it with stock motor or i need to upgrade it to compensate with such power? Also i serach that LiPo battery are in the rage now for rc cars, so do you guys have any recommendation?
i guess its better to get aftermarket charger as it will cut down on charging time thus more playing time. Thanks again...Cheers.

For most stock ESC & motor (mostly brushless type) Nimh batt should be good enough. High mAh will give you longer run time.
Most upgrades are brushless system, high mAh & C batt will be needed to maximize the brushless power (high speed).
There are lots of Lipo batt in the market now, depending on your budget & application (bash or race) you will then decide which grade of lipo is more suitable.

hi all fellow Singaporeans,
Considered noob here since the last time I touched RC cars was like 16 yrs back. I've totally lost track of RC news and tech but recently, I have been trying to get my 7yr old son on RC car as he really loves cars.
I have done some research but I'm still at a lost regarding entry level EP road cars.
I'm considering the following choices:
Tamiya TT01
HPI E10
Kyosho Faser/Pureten series
Kyosho Mini-Z AWD
HPI Micro RS4
In terms of hop ups/aftermarket mods, which models here have the most "support" locally? I only know 1 shop for each of the brands above, Tamiya (Stargek), Kyosho (Toykar) and HPI (Tai Sing). Are there other shops too?
I've a preference for either mini-Z and HPI micro RS4 due to the size and hence the possibility of playing indoors but the build is unlike the 1/10 series that works more like real cars, which would be a learning ground for my kid.

Thanks! I'm surprised that Tamiya is still the better choice as back in my time, the craze was for the HPIs'.
