The point is to get all ppl interested to fork out that much money to get a car and run a race, when they already have one car of their own, is not feasible.

The XB swift retails at around 400? and was going for less than half the price for the race, stargek hands out batteries as well. That makes big difference compared to paying the full sum.

The end of the story is Nothing will happen.
Is too costly to run the race.
Unless is paying only S$80 to S$100
End of the day car kit is given free but only batt to be return back.
If every month held this type of race, Organiser oso run liao.

This is my pt of view.

yeah agree with you. but now at least we learnt that running this kind of race is not cheap .

Frankly, i wasn't aware that XBs retail price is as high as $400+ now then I know... so it's additional 'knowledge' for me. Unless another big event surfaced and another big sponsor want to sponsor us

Why don't we do a shorter timed race where no matter what batteries you are using, it will still require maybe 2 to 3 battery changes, say 20 to 30 minutes. I think we need to limit the scale of the race in order to keep the costs down.

At same time, control the kind of tyres to be used plus all handout silver can motors. And I'm thinking of using personal cars. Will this work?

Cheers!!

I was just thinking of:

- Limiting tires to rubbers from shop...No traction compound to be used...
- Brushed motor only...
- 3 NiMH batteries to be used...(Based on Kerk's suggestion of 20-30min run...) No charging in the midst of the duration...So to eliminate the more-chargers-advantage...

This would make the racer think about his gear ratio and motor turns to complete the 20-30min race with the limited batteries...
The hopups on the F103 would only make the car more stable...Some can run the car without much hopups...

Thats the basis I would suggest...Just my thoughts...Thanks...

I sponsor 20 Car Kit F103GT with LC70 cover and all expenses

Just buy your own batt and own electronics.
Use whatever high end stuff for the race if you can afford.
But remember, if you got the skill mid range stuff also can win the race.

Above Valid till 31 Dec 2006

Don't ask me when, I also don't know.
