Default Question - TT-01 Rally diff choice

What diff configuration would be good for rally on concrete surface...say also road/ashpalt, perhaps some dirt/pebble surface on occasion...

Rear = locked / semi-locked / ball diff ...or ?
front = locked / semi-locked / ball diff /one way ..or ?

Suggestions please!

This is my TT-01 Rally spec so far...

60mm Allot dampers
9T Brushless motor/heatsink
Lipo 4000 25C
Alloy shaft kit
Alloy steering kit
Ball Bearings
Rally block tyres

thanks!

Great looking car!
Could you please post some more pics of the chassis etc.? I'm planning to base a rally car on the ARE-2 also, so could use all the inspiration I can get.
Is that the standard shocks with longer ball studs?
I'm considering using shocks and shock towers from the Master Smacker.

Cheers

tamiya's TL-01 or TT-01 are good choices. TT-01 will need some minor mods, while TL-01 is pretty much ready for rally. always good to have 55-60mm shocks on, and some rally block tires. semi-lock your diffs too.

Hi,
All you neeed are longer ball studs for the shocks,dont worry about shock towers,..cut away the chassis so that the arms drop down more,gives you about 30mm ground clearance,which is more than enough....

cheers simon
