so aparently we're running a rally class for the first time at my local club (dirtrunners.com)

heres mine!

Xray T1FK04, HPI M conpunds, TE37 wheels, Evo body, Novak ESC, 10x2 orion motor, team checkpoint lipo (not pictured) spektrum radio gear and tons of customization to get an inch of ground clearance out of this sucker

handles AMAZING. jumps near as good as my losi XXXT lol its actualy quite rediculous and FAST too.

so where do u guys play rally? I can't seem to find any large enough area with hard sand to play.. and not too many people around who will be bothered by my playing.. so far many of the places I went have gravel too large and loose that my car dun have much traction..

Default QUESTION!!! TT-01 Rally / Off-Road

For TT-01 off-road/Rally...

What diffs is everyone using? Front & Rear? Locked? one-way? semi-locked? ball bearing?
...assuming you are running a stock brushless setup 9T.

Also...what gear ratio? stock 19/61 or...?

I am building a rally/off-road TT-01 with a modified 3Racing Carbon Chassis - Work in progress.

I'm using semi-locked diffs for both front and rear. its a DIY feature done by me.

as for gearing, i'd go with 24/58 given that you're running a 9T(4000kv). i'm running a 5000kv, with 19/61 gearing for more torque.

and as for your chassis, i'd recommend that you use the stock TT-01 bathtub, its much easier to handle and safer, get scratches also won't feel the pinch.

I played rally once at East Coast. There's a nice flat and sandy spot just near the mcdonalds. Quite big and there's a stone bench to put your bags too.

Anyone interested for a rally meetup?

Im defintely interested! anyway I found this area under the lornie road fly over.. next to the reservoir. it's big, clean, dry (because sheltered by the big road/bridge), and has nice hard dry sandy area for rally. anyone keen to try??
