tires scraping body?
I have had a hell of a time mounting a body in such away that it does not interfere with my tires.
My car came with these metallic blue nuts at the end of the drive shafts where the wheels seat. Is that my problem? Do the make the chassis to wide for standard 190mm bodies and/or require special mounting or cutting of wheel holes in lexan bodies?
On a related note where do you attach the handout transponders on your cars?

The blue hexs make the car 190mm. I've run the AE hexs since I first got the car.
With house transponsors I like to run mine behind the servo. At the base of the front window is fine too.

Are you saying you haven't cut out holes for the wheels??? I'm not quite following you. You definitely need to cut the body so that there is clearance for the wheels just like a full-size car.

It is possible to mount a body and not have the tires rub with the AE hexes, but you have to be dead nuts on. I've got one body that was about 1mm off in the rear and it rubbed on the left side bad. To make it easy, run a Losi body. They have the mounting dimples there for you.

Never mind. I'm following now. Yeah, sounds like the body is slightly off center.

is it normal to have some play in the upper shock mounting location between the nut and the bushing?
I used to just crank down on the metal nut to eliminate that but i can't crank down on the nylon nuts(
) anymore.

You actually want there to be some play so that the shock can rotate freely at the upper mount as the suspension compresses. If you crank the nut tight enough that there isn't any play, it's too tight. I tighten just to the point that it is snug and no more.
