I think I was thinking backwards. I don't mess with castor a lot so I seem to get it mixed up sometimes which way it effects the car.

Again, I was talking about how caster affected straight line stability on a real race car. Just assuming that it's fairly similar on an r/c car.
With the 4+4 setup on my XXX-S cars, it is very stable down long straights. But probably turns a bit slower initially.
Funny thing is...My XXX-S has more potential suspension adjustments on it than my fairly straight forward formula car did. Although, some of the adjustments were easier on the real thing.
The other thing about my formula car is that I had no Ackerman at all...I put it together with parallel steering at the spindles to not scrub off speed with the front end of the car on sweeping (flat out) turns at Laguna Seca and Sears Point (now Infineon).
Thanks for making me flex my brain cells...

Hey I got a fun idea. Let's all post pictures of our cars and their mods. That sounds like fun.

what class are you running this weekend? 19 turn should be fun. Dujuan, Matt, Alex, and myself are ready to have some fun. Good luck in whatever class you decide to run.
