Here is where i got mine: http://www.thercshack.com/index.asp?...PROD&ProdID=79

Really cheap, retail on T1R is around 230-235 i believe and getting it for 185 is a great deal.
Bought one last week from RC Shack... excellent price and service

Aluminum bulkheads vs. hardened Alu
you cant harden aluminium. You can anondize it which is sort of like a hard coating sort of.

According to the Xray website, the Evo2 bulkheads are hardcoated and the T1R bulkheads are not. Just pointing out that there is a difference between them.

Default XRay super stiffy!!!

Hey all,

Heres the BMI chassis for the XRay. ITs ultra stiff-so much so that installed even with the ultra flex top deck will be stiffer than even a T1 chassis with XRay's thickest top deck.

Check out the machine work and quality of cuts and edges-especially the 3d cutoouts to lower the bulkheads to stock height.

Check out the BM thread and asked any questions there about it.

Turnbuckle questions-to run the lower outside upperlink position does Hudy make short turnbuckles-or do you just cut standard ones down a mm per side?

I dont want to post the pic as it will probably annoyingly enlarge the screen-so heres a link instead:

Front or rear? On the rear with short arms and the cut center bridge mod (outside lower for FT), the camber links off the rear pivot ball FOC setup work perfectly.

The BMI chassis added a lap to my times. It's really good.

I'm not a hacker either - won the points season at my local track this winter.

the evo 2 bulkheads are clear hardcoat anodize.hardcoat only comes in 2 colors, black and clear.clear comes out to be that light brown color that you see on the evo 2.hard coat anodize is a very hard anodized coating.only thing i have seen harder is teflon coating.

hows the turnbuckle system on an xray?
I have to say i absolutly despise working with the ones on my xxx-s. It makes me not even want to get a good setup on the car its such a pain in the ass. Id much rather spend the money on a car that i dont have to hack the hell out of my ball ends just to make sure they stay on the friggin ball stud.

They work excellent. No ball cups to pop off...all screw-in ball end.
