it shows 53473 as the wheel that comes in the kit. it is a 2 offset.
as for pinions I have used 12 - 20 the chassis can support probably to about a 35 but for starters I would say have maybe 14 - 24 in your pit box. How tight of a track do you normally run on?

I just ordered a Courage kit, I skimmed through this thread, but really could not see if there was any "NEEDED" parts or upgrades.

Can we us any spur gear ? What are the best diff upgrades....

Any thoughts ?

tim i think some stated about using the HPI spurs on the car, I got mine on order too

I have the f103 courage
I don't think the hpi spurs will work.
you have to use tamiya spurs. I hope someone else makes spurs for this car.

im pretty sure if you go back and read the thread some one did use a different spur , I know ill get another spur to work ,

you'l probably have to change the axle and diff assembly

tamiya does offer an optional metric 64 pitch pinion/spur gears.

the problem is that there is a bearing in the middle of the Tamiya spur. Hpi used to make spurs for the F103 F1 cars, if you find them they will work.

Thanks for the wheel part number. But does anyone know if tamiyamakes 26mm +2 dish wheels? I would prefer those.

How tight of a track?, I really dont know what to compare it to, perhaps someone can post pictures and I could compare the tcs set up track sizes to those. I should be able to find some pics of the local indoor tracks, I will post them later.

Anyone have any reccomendations on inserts? Most of my races will be run outside on parking lot surfaces.

Are you in the states? I dont see how this can be as the Canadian rules specify we must use spec peak 2400 packs. How would the North American Finals work then?
