Is this XTi the original with the long wheelbase, or a shorter version such as the Altered Ego?

Hey guys, just noticed something cool. Looks like Desoto (serpent america) is carrying the Sanwa srg-hr servo now so you should be able to get it from an american source.

http://www.serpentamerica.com/shop/p...1&cat=0&page=2

Only possible issue is that some of the sanwa stuff they list says "export only" in the description. This one does not so hopefully they can sell it.

This servo is not available from Desoto racing in the USA. Global Distributors are the importers and are not interested to bring it in. Desoto can not sell this product in North America.

That sucks. Like I said, a lot of there sanwa stuff says export only but not all of it does so I was hopeful. Guess I'll still have to go to HK.

Surely the American market is one of if not the largest in the world? Isn't it kind of stupid not to sell your product here, if you are a large international company like Sanwa?

I believe that Sanwa products are sold by Global under exclusive license as Airtronics in the USA.

If Sanwa wanted to sell the servo here, Global would sell it.

Sorry David, I had just seen this. It is the short-wheelbase.

That's OK. Give me little time and I will come up with something that is good from somebody. There are a few drivers running this that I trust, so I will try to find it for you.

I think the new speedo from Reedy will be good for you. It is called The Black box. Literature says it doesn't need a fan till you start running two cells. Reasonably priced for a top end speedo. The BEC is good so you don't have to use a booster or receiver pack on single cell.

Another is the 1S from Hobbywing. It sits a little tall, but you probably can get it in under the body. Price is also reasonable.

I have run both of these in 1/12 13.5T and WGT. Both have been solid so far.

I have been using Orca VX1 in all my 12th and wgt. Super solid units. I do run a fan in mod taped to the chassis blowing across the esc. I am about to receive some of the new VX3.1 units to test. They have an internal booster that spits out 6v at 5amps, never had a failure or brown out. I also like how you can switch the ABC to CBA out of the esc so you can get your wire nice and flat (so you are not criss crossing wire under a tight space). You can control everything from the programming box, leave the laptop or PC at home.

Was only running a mild 5.5 motor without boost, but did notice there wasn't any rubbing of the chassis on the carpet where that was the case before this configuration was applied. Just finished a new WC chassis that will be stock with a 13.5. I fully expect to experience the same awesome performance as reported by Slapmaster. That Vafactor guy verified it would be great.
Thanks for the vote of confidence here! I have been really pleased with the car. I have taken on a little project at my club, I have built another WC exactly like my current car for a "loaner". I bought an Airtronics MT4S for it. I really like that too! I may even give my solid KO Euros a break of 5 years. All the guys that have driven it, like the Tx as well. I turned my old WC into the loaner and I built the new car for myself, you know, freshen up a little. Well the first guy I lent my car to whooped on me as I was sorting out. Hey, that's not how this is supposed to work. It's been a great program for me to showcase how good this car is. Also it's been great to get drivers into a class they would not normally try.

A sad little bit of news, I tried to put one of my thrust kits on the new WC axle and it won't fit! The stud is simply too short. There is no configuration I can come up with to make it work. So I am running with a traditional flanged bearing on the hub. And yes, I have already had to replace it once!
